Mecharashi rewards smart positioning, but the pilot in the cockpit still decides how hard each turn lands. Our Mecharashi tier list ranks the global roster as of Version 2.3, from meta-defining carries to dependable starter picks. You’ll see where each pilot sits, what role they fill, and why they earned that spot. To see which pilot deserves your resources, view the complete list below!
Mecharashi Tier List (Version 2.3)
Here’s the full ranking in one place. Scroll down for the reasoning behind every placement.
| Tier | What It Means | Pilots |
| S | Build your account around them | Ada, Matilda, Lorna, Ophelia, Rosa: Judgment (Limited) |
| A | Excellent picks with few weaknesses | Adele, Frida, Melissa, Kelly, Eileen, Paloma, Rosemary |
| B | Strong with the right ST and support | Hong, Gumusiay, Wyatt, Marcus, William, Mary, Natalia, Sylvie, Anderson, Fia, Tiphys |
| C | Useful in specific teams or stages | Erisa, Camilla, Arthur, Rosa, Seven, Naomi, Shawnee, Yevgeny |
| D | Early-game fillers or bench options | Fregata, Cassha, Dean, Dana, Kaidan, Catherine, Diracca |
S Tier Pilots
See all the pilots in this tier:

| Pilot | Class | Paired ST | Why They’re S Tier |
| Ada | Fighter | Hasteraze (Light) | Version 2.3’s headline Fighter hits the frontline hard in a cutting-edge Light ST. She’s the clearest pull on the current schedule. |
| Matilda | Raider | Tengshe (Light) | Her firepower snowballs as enemy lines crumble. She’s one of the strongest burst attackers on the global server. |
| Lorna | Machinist | Aglow (Medium) | This elite support fits almost any team. She also has a dedicated SS weapon, Power of the Mahalim. |
| Ophelia | Fighter | Ouroboros (Light) | Dual Alter Blades let her break enemy parts quickly and stack buffs as the fight goes on. |
| Rosa: Judgment (Limited) | Tactician | Erinys (Medium) | Her Awakening Level climbs mid-battle, pushing her Cutter damage higher. Erinys adds heavy damage amplification on top. |
Ada and Matilda are the two damage dealers we’d chase first. Lorna is the smartest long-term investment because she makes every other carry better. Ophelia’s latest rerun ended on September 24, so build her only if she’s already in your hangar. The same goes for Rosa: Judgment. She’s anniversary-limited, and her banner closed on July 16.
A Tier Pilots
See all the pilots in this tier:

| Pilot | Class | Paired ST | Why They’re A Tier |
| Adele | Raider | Kagemusha (Heavy) | A newer Raider backed by a sturdy Heavy ST. You can also redeem her through HARPY T.R.O.O.P.S until October 22. |
| Frida | Raider | Twilight Fang (Light) | The best starter carry in the game. She stays useful long after the opening chapters. |
| Melissa | Machinist | Aurora (Medium) | The most dependable launch-era healer. Her repairs keep aggressive teams running through long fights. |
| Kelly | Sniper | Rex (Light) | A composed long-range damage dealer. Rex adds reconnaissance and ballistic correction to her shots. |
| Eileen | Tactician | Malthus | Strong ranged pressure against groups, and her RA-09 SS weapon pushes it further. |
| Paloma | Sniper | Alicorn (Heavy) | Her unique range advantage lets her hold position and still win the damage race. |
| Rosemary | Tactician | Arbiter (Medium) | She brings strong ranged utility, and Arbiter is purpose-built for tactical weapons. |
Frida and Melissa remain the backbone of most accounts. If your team lacks healing, Melissa is still worth building despite newer support options. Adele is the easy win this month because HARPY T.R.O.O.P.S lets you claim her without relying on pull luck.
B Tier Pilots
B-tier pilots still perform well in Mecharashi’s harder modes. See all the pilots in this tier:

| Pilot | Class | Verdict |
| Hong | Fighter | A launch favorite who still shines in Glasya with her Storm Stiller SS weapon. |
| Gumusiay | Fighter | She hits hard in Heracles, and Sivri, an SS weapon made for her, keeps her relevant. |
| Wyatt | Fighter | Fenrisúlfr’s pursuit-strike system suits his aggressive melee style. |
| Marcus | Raider | Reliable mid-range damage, especially with Dopplesoldner and the Cinder SS weapon. |
| William | Raider | Solid single-target damage that scales nicely with the Bahamut SS weapon. |
| Mary | Raider | A flexible, low-maintenance damage option that slots into most teams. |
| Natalia | Sniper | Dependable long-range pressure with Blue Bird and the Magic Flute SS weapon. |
| Sylvie | Sniper | A great early-to-mid-game sniper, and Veiled Scent raises her ceiling. |
| Anderson | TBA | He buffs allies while confusing and debuffing enemies. His banner runs until October 8. |
| Fia | TBA | A capable pick when paired with Mithril, a medium tactical ST. |
| Tiphys | TBA | Solid value in the right team, usually paired with the Euclase ST. |
Hong and Gumusiay are the best B-tier investments for melee-heavy teams. Anderson is worth a look because true support pilots are rarer than damage dealers. Just don’t expect him to carry fights on his own.
C Tier Pilots
C-tier pilots have clear jobs, but newer units usually do those jobs better. See all the pilots in this tier:

| Pilot | Class | Verdict |
| Erisa | Raider | Decent damage with Thanatos and Kagutsuchi, though newer Raiders outclass her. |
| Camilla | Fighter | A tough close-combat pilot who works best in Dragonrider with Hunter’s Sting. |
| Arthur | Tactician | Useful group damage, but Eileen and Rosemary handle that job better. |
| Rosa | Raider | Strong in XR, yet she loses a lot of value outside that setup. |
| Seven | Machinist | An accessible backup healer if Melissa or Lorna aren’t in your hangar yet. |
| Naomi | Tactician | A handy buffer with her Cooool! SS weapon, though rarely a priority. |
| Shawnee | Sniper | Her Lucent SS weapon helps, but she’s less flexible than other Snipers. |
| Yevgeny | Guardian | The best global Guardian thanks to Cold Stele, though tanks sit low in this meta. |
D Tier Pilots
These pilots can help early on or plug gaps in multi-team modes. Don’t spend rare upgrade materials on them. See all the pilots in this tier:

| Pilot | Class | Verdict |
| Fregata | TBA | Her Shadowrabbit ST is easy to work with, but she hasn’t kept pace with newer pilots. |
| Cassha | Raider | Weak right now, though her new Evenstar Successor SS weapon could change that. Watch her October rerun. |
| Dean | TBA | A raw brawler in the Ranger Heavy ST who falls behind newer frontliners. |
| Dana | Sniper | A usable early sniper who fades once your roster grows. |
| Kaidan | Fighter | The story lead holds up early but drops off quickly. |
| Catherine | Fighter | Almost every other Fighter outclasses her. |
| Diracca | Guardian | Guardians are underpowered right now, and she’s the weakest of them. |
Evangelion Collab and Upcoming Mecharashi Pilots
The Evangelion crossover added Asuka and Rei through crossover-only banners that closed on February 25, 2026. Shinji came through limited-time events and can’t be recruited. We leave all three off the main list because new players can’t get them. If you already own Asuka, she’s well worth building.

Sapientia, a new S-Grade Machinist, arrives with the Snowyowl ST on October 1. Her placement is TBA until her kit settles in on the global server. If your team is short on healing, saving some pulls for her makes sense.
Which Mecharashi Banners Should You Pull in Version 2.3?
Version 2.3 runs several banners and redemption events through late October. Here’s our quick verdict on each, with all times in UTC-7.
| Banner or Event | Dates (UTC-7) | Our Verdict |
| Ada + Hasteraze | September 10 – October 1 | Pull. She’s the strongest new carry available. |
| Anderson + Odysseus | September 24 – October 8 | Optional. Chase him only if your team lacks support. |
| Sapientia + Snowyowl | October 1 – October 22 | Wait and see. Save pulls if you need a healer. |
| Cassha + FierceJaw | October 8 – October 22 | Skip unless you’re a Cassha fan. |
| HARPY T.R.O.O.P.S | September 10 – October 22 | Redeem Adele or fill a missing role. Limited pilots are excluded. |
| Explorer’s Quest Season 10 | September 24 – November 5 | Take Lorna from the pilot choice. |
Explorer’s Quest Season 10 lets you pick Lorna or Fia once you activate Code: Rekindled and Code: Blazing. Lorna is the easy choice, since elite support is harder to find than damage. For the matching ST pick, take Aglow over Mithril to give Lorna her natural pairing.
Best Mecharashi Pilots for Beginners
Mecharashi was originally developed as Front Mission 2089: Borderscape, and that tactical DNA shows in every fight. New commanders should secure one carry, one healer, and one ranged damage dealer before chasing a full collection. Here are our top pilot choices for new players:
- Frida (Raider): The safest early carry. She clears story content quickly and stays relevant well into the endgame.
- Melissa (Machinist): The most forgiving early healer. Pick her if you value long-term stability over raw clear speed.
- Mary, Seven, and Dana: Budget options that cover damage, healing, and range while you save premium currency.
- Rerolling: If you reroll, stop once you land Frida or Melissa. Chasing a perfect opening wastes time you could spend progressing.
Final Thoughts
Ada, Matilda, Lorna, and Ophelia sit at the top of this Mecharashi tier list. Rosa: Judgment joins them if you pulled her during the anniversary. Frida and Melissa remain the strongest foundation for brand-new accounts.
This month, grab Ada before October 1 and take Lorna through Explorer’s Quest Season 10. Use HARPY T.R.O.O.P.S for Adele or a missing role, then judge Sapientia once her banner opens. Above all, build complete machines around a few pilots instead of spreading resources thin. For more on the game, follow our Mecharashi coverage.
