League of Legends – New internet show announced to unearth the next esports superstar

Riot Games Korea recently announced that is is starting anew online show, LoL THE NEXT, in an effort to unearth the next superstar League of Legends player or shoutcaster. This is partially to celebrate the 10th anniversary of League of Legends, with former top players such as Wolf, Pawn, Marin, and Pray being the hopefuls’ mentors. 100 participants will be selected in the first round, up till the point where only 5 final participants are left. Riot Games claimed that despite having the same elimination rounds as other talent shows, LoL THE NEXT will be more “relaxed” and “interesting.” It starts airing 2 August on Youtube.
