Announced earlier today, Nexon’s first ever online game in South Korea, Baram, has been officially recognized as the “Longest-running commercial graphical MMORPG” by Guinness World Records. The classic MMORPG first started back in South Korea in 1996, with the game still getting regular content updates until this day. What an amazing achievement!
If you have not heard of Baram, it is known as Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds in North America, which started in 1998. The English server is still up and running! An interesting fact to note, the founder of XLGAMES and creator of the upcoming CryEngine 3 masterpiece ArcheAge, Mr Jake Song, was part of Baram’s original development team.
