The Once Human map looks simple until you notice that each scenario carves up Nalcott differently. One scenario starts you in Dayton Wetlands, while another throws you into Arkam’s frozen north. In this guide, we cover every Nalcott region, the Way of Winter map, and how other scenarios use the world. You’ll also learn which landmarks matter, how fast travel works, and how to read the Once Human map on mobile. Knowing the layout saves you hours of wandering and a few avoidable deaths.
How the Once Human Map Works Across Scenarios
Once Human doesn’t give every player the same world. Each scenario runs as a separate world with its own rules, and many use different slices of Nalcott.
That’s why two friends can both play Once Human and describe completely different maps. Before you plan a route or a base spot, check which scenario your server runs.
Once Human Scenarios and the Maps They Use
| Scenario | Mode | Map Area | Best For |
| Manibus (Novice) | PvE | Nalcott’s six base regions | Brand-new players |
| Manibus | PvE | Nalcott’s six base regions | Players with some survival experience |
| The Way of Winter | PvE | Arkam, in Nalcott’s frozen north | Players who want a tougher survival test |
| Endless Dream | PvE | Nalcott and the snowy north, with no region locks | Co-op groups chasing tough enemies |
| Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve | PvE | Nalcott, with Deviation-focused rules | Players who love collecting and battling Deviants |
| Evolution’s Call | PvP | Nalcott’s six base regions | Warbands fighting over frontier resources |
| Prismverse’s Clash | PvP | Nalcott’s base regions, split into safe and war zones | Faction-vs-faction PvP fans |
| Once Human: RaidZone | PvP | Its own map with no safe zones | Hardcore raiders |
When a scenario ends, your character and eligible items move to Eternaland, your personal space between runs. From there, you can carry a limited selection into the next scenario. Our Once Human review explains what stays and what resets.
Why Parts of the Once Human Map Stay Locked
Manibus doesn’t open all of Nalcott on day one. The map expands as your server moves through its scenario phases. Push past an unopened border early, and the game simply warns you to turn back.
Story progress gates things too. Rift Anchors in higher regions stay locked until you beat the Monolith bosses before them. The Way of Winter works differently, since you pick between two starting regions right away.
Once Human Map: All Six Nalcott Regions in Manibus
Nalcott’s base map spans a seamless 256 km², split into six regions that scale in difficulty. Use the suggested levels below as a rough guide for when each region becomes comfortable.
| Region | Suggested Level | Monolith | Key Landmarks |
| Dayton Wetlands | 2–10 | Monolith of Greed | Throughville, Brookham, Dayton Hospital |
| Broken Delta | 11–19 | GAIA Cliff Monolith | Harborside, High Banks, Hearst Industries |
| Iron River | 20–29 | Mirage Monolith | Greywater Industrial Zone, Alkirk, Rippleby |
| Chalk Peak | 30–39 | Monolith of Thirst | GAIA Military Base, Evergreen Vineyard, Silvershore Resort |
| Red Sands | 40–49 | Forsaken Monolith | Blackfell Fallen Zone, Blackfell Oil Fields, Fort Eyrie |
| Blackheart Region | 50–60 | None | Sunshine Farm, White Cliff |

Dayton Wetlands: Where Every Manibus Run Begins
Dayton Wetlands is the starting region and the gentlest stretch of the Once Human map. It holds eight settlements and the Monolith of Greed, so there’s plenty to do before you move on.
Treat it as your training ground. Clear a settlement, loot its crates, activate the nearest Teleportation Tower, and repeat. By the time you leave, that loop should feel automatic.

Broken Delta: The First Real Difficulty Jump
Broken Delta sits west of Dayton Wetlands, and its enemies hit noticeably harder. Harborside, High Banks, and Hearst Industries are worth clearing early while you gear up.
The GAIA Cliff Monolith and its surrounding Danger Zone hide weapon and armor crates. That loot comes with real pressure, though, so don’t wander in underleveled. Broken Delta is also where Rift Anchors start to matter, since they open the path to the region’s Monolith boss.
Iron River: Factories, Pollution, and a Securement Silo
Head north from Dayton Wetlands, and the marshes give way to Iron River’s industrial sprawl. Greywater Industrial Zone, the Refinery Pollution Plant, and Alkirk anchor the region. The Mirage Monolith serves as its boss dungeon.
Securement Silo PHI sits in southern Iron River, close to the Evergreen Southbank Teleportation Tower. Iron River also has its own Danger Zone, which rewards players who can handle a crowded fight.

Chalk Peak: The Region That Rewards Fast Travel
Chalk Peak is one of the largest regions on the Once Human map, and crossing it on foot eats time. Its key stops include the GAIA Military Base, Evergreen Vineyard, Silvershore Resort, and the Alpha Institute.
The Monolith of Thirst waits here as the region’s boss challenge. Activate every Teleportation Tower you find, because doubling back across Chalk Peak gets old fast.

Red Sands: Oil, Ore, and Crowded Base Spots
Red Sands lies north of Iron River and Chalk Peak, and the greenery fades into dry desert. Blackfell Fallen Zone is the central settlement, and late story quests keep pulling you back there.
The region also suits resource-focused bases. Its water spots work well for oil pumping, and copper and tin turn up in healthy amounts. The catch is competition, because the Blackfell Oil Fields fill up quickly on busy servers. Fort Eyrie, the 73 Source Extraction Point, and the Forsaken Monolith round out the region.

Blackheart Region: Nalcott’s Endgame Edge
Blackheart Region is the northernmost of Nalcott’s six base regions. It holds only two settlements, Sunshine Farm and White Cliff, but both rank among the toughest in Manibus.
White Cliff, at the region’s far north, is the final settlement you’ll conquer in Nalcott. Blackheart is also rich in minerals, and its remote cliffs suit players who want a quiet base.

The Way of Winter Map: Arkam’s Three Frozen Regions
The Way of Winter moves the action to Arkam, a separate map in Nalcott’s far north. Here, temperature becomes an enemy of its own, shifting with location, weather, and time of day.
You survive the extremes by building Thermal Towers, and you can’t move one after placing it. Scout your base spot carefully before you commit.
| Region | Role | What to Expect |
| Onyx Tundra | Beginner-friendly start in the east | A frozen ocean, a cable car to southern mountains, a dessert-themed town, and a theme park |
| Vena Fjord | Tougher central start for veterans | A winding shoreline, iridescent grass slopes, and Arkam’s tallest peak |
| Ember Strand | Endgame region | Fire and heat hazards that flip the cold-weather playbook |
Each Arkam region hides five Mystical Crates, so full clears pay off. Onyx Tundra houses the Tundra Monolith, while Vena Fjord holds the Avalanche Monolith.
If you’re new to the scenario, start in Onyx Tundra. Vena Fjord begins at a higher difficulty, and its early enemies can overwhelm a fresh character.
Once Human – Endless Dream, Deviation, and the PvP Maps
Endless Dream opens the whole Once Human map with no region restrictions from the start. It covers Nalcott’s base regions and the snowy north together. Dream Zones and Nightmare Areas then layer fresh hazards over familiar ground.
The scenario moves through five phases, and you can build without the usual land restrictions. We covered its arrival in our Once Human Annual Version 2.0 breakdown. If you’ve finished Manibus and want a harder co-op challenge, this is the natural next stop.
Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve
This PvE scenario arrived with the Once Human x Palworld crossover. It shifts the focus to capturing Deviations, building a team, and taking on the Deviation League. If that loop clicks, our list of survival games like Palworld for Android has more to try.

Evolution’s Call, Prismverse’s Clash, and RaidZone
Evolution’s Call uses the same Nalcott map as Manibus, but warbands battle over frontier resources. Prismverse’s Clash keeps that map too, then splits it into safe zones and war zones. You only risk PvP inside a war zone, which suits more cautious players.
Once Human: RaidZone is the outlier. It’s a standalone PvP spin-off with its own map and no safe zones. On Android, it even has a separate app listing.
Once Human Map Icons and Landmarks Worth Knowing
The Once Human map is crowded with icons, but only a handful shape your progress.
| Landmark | What It Does | Why It Matters |
| Teleportation Tower | Fast-travel point marked with a radio tower icon | Also lets you switch worlds to join friends |
| Rift Anchor | Linked to a region’s Monolith | Activating it helps unlock that Monolith’s boss fight |
| Settlement | Town or facility full of enemies and loot | Your main source of weapon and gear crates |
| Monolith | Boss dungeon surrounded by a Danger Zone | Each region’s major boss challenge |
| Securement Silo | High-level facility with tough encounters | Late-game loot and boss fights |
| Mystical Crate | Rare crate with a red glow | Opens once per character, so track what you’ve looted |
| Morphic Crate | A Deviant disguised as a loot crate | Defeat it to claim the rewards |
Some Mystical Crates hide at the end of a purple spark trail. Follow the sparks, and the crate appears with a purple glow. Riddle spots and painting puzzles also dot the map as optional detours with their own rewards.
Wild Deviants don’t always spawn on one exact spot. Each one can appear anywhere within its spawn area, so sweep the zone instead of camping one point.
How Fast Travel Works on the Once Human Map
Fast travel in Once Human has a few rules, and learning them early saves real frustration.
- Unlock it through the story – Teleportation opens up during the early Eve of Evolution tutorial quest.
- Activate every tower you pass – Each Teleportation Tower you interact with joins your list of destinations.
- Start from a tower or your territory – You can’t teleport from open ground. Try it, and you’ll see a “Start Point Locked” message.
- Use the base hop – You can teleport home from anywhere, with a cooldown. From there, jump to any tower you’ve unlocked.
- Budget your Energy Links – Each teleport costs Energy Links, and longer trips cost more.
- Switch worlds at towers – If a friend can’t see you, use a tower to move into their world.
Picking a Base Spot on the Once Human Map
Your territory location shapes every supply run you make. Here’s how the main Manibus options compare.
| Goal | Where to Look | Trade-Off |
| Oil production | Red Sands, near the oil fields | Popular spots fill up fast |
| Copper and tin | Central Red Sands | Works best on PvE servers |
| Privacy | Blackheart’s remote cliffs | Fewer neighbors, but longer supply trips |
You can relocate your territory later, so your first pick doesn’t need to be perfect. In The Way of Winter, Thermal Towers are the exception, so plan those placements with care.
Final Thoughts
The Once Human map makes far more sense once you see it as several worlds sharing one landmass. Manibus walks you through Nalcott’s six regions, from Dayton Wetlands up to Blackheart. The Way of Winter swaps that for Arkam’s brutal cold, while Endless Dream opens everything at once.
If you’re new, start on a Manibus (Novice) server and follow the regions in order. Activate every Teleportation Tower, learn the base-hop trick, and track your Mystical Crates as you go. With Isles of Abyss close, master the land now, before the map heads out to sea.
