The PUBG Mobile 4.6 Update has rolled out globally after its staged release on September 8 and 9. Called Midnight Hunters, the update turns parts of Erangel into a battleground between vampire hunters and supernatural enemies. It also adds new missions, movement tools, Classic Mode changes, seasonal content, and collaborations.
The main Midnight Hunters content will remain available through November 10. Players can download the update through Google Play or the App Store and enter the themed mode while the first events begin.
Midnight Hunters Changes How Erangel Feels
Midnight Hunters transforms familiar urban areas and adds Vampire Hunter Guild locations across the map. These sites contain combat encounters, supplies, and story details tied to the Nightkeeper. This AI character can appear at Guild locations, where players may challenge him for rewards. The Hunter Shooting Range also gives out better prizes when you earn a higher score.
As you move through the changed areas, several PvE enemies can interrupt your plans. Each one comes with its own type of attack:
- Bloodwalkers: Use melee attacks.
- Nightbats: Strike with sonic blasts.
- Vampire Elder: Summons arcane orbs that strengthen nearby enemies.
- Elite opponents: Raise the pressure with protective shields and special finishing moves.
To deal with these threats, your squad can use several themed items. Some improve movement, while others help with defence and recovery:
- Twilight Bat Wings: Transform the user into an energy bat with hover, dash, latch, and sonar abilities.
- Silvermoon Chain: Damages enemies, helps with traversal, and blocks attacks.
- Blood Crystal Barrier: Seals windows to protect players.
- Blood Pact, Hunter Bandage, and Scarlet Tonic: Provide healing and squad support.
These locations also contain optional challenges that can lead to extra rewards. Some come with added risks, so you may attract unwanted attention along the way:
- Golden Bat: Hides as a stone statue and tries to escape once found. So, players must defeat it quickly to collect its bounty.
- Scream Crates: Offer puzzle encounters, but failed attempts sound an alarm and expose your position.
- Guild Missions: Add objectives such as defending the Nightkeeper’s seals and hunting vampires.

Bloodline Awakening Lets Eliminated Players Return
Bloodline Awakening gives eliminated players a chance to return as vampires and attack the surviving hunters. Vampires gain Claw Attack for close combat and Absorb for health recovery. Blood Sense marks nearby hunters, while Blood Amberfication provides a short burst of speed and damage immunity.
PUBG Mobile plans to make Bloodline Awakening available every Friday through Sunday in September after the season update. Season 32 begins on September 12 with refreshed tier rewards, new Path of Glory rewards, and changes to Promotion Matches.
PUBG Mobile 4.6 Update Expands Classic Mode
Classic Mode now includes in-match missions on Erangel. These tasks ask players to recover leftover combat supplies or hack Supply Shops for Shop Tokens. The Supply Shop also has a refreshed layout, improved filtering, and a larger item selection.
Firearm changes improve stability for the ACE32, AKM, M762, Honey Badger, Mk47, and Groza. Also, the portable Inflatable Boat carries four players across water and moves faster when more passengers row.
Channel Buoys around Military Base provide temporary safety in the water, while floating crates and interactive lockers offer more chances to find supplies. Players can also lock into auto-glide by pushing the movement control upward during a parachute descent.

New modes, seasonal activities, and collaborations will open at different points during Version 4.6.
