The Free Fire OB55 patch notes bring Naruto Shippuden back to the battle royale, alongside a complete Kenta rework and several changes across Battle Royale and Clash Squad. The update will also introduce four new weapons and a wider balance pass that changes how each weapon class performs.
Players can download the latest version of Free Fire through Google Play. Most of the update is already available, while the new weapons and related balance changes will arrive with the next Clash Squad season on October 1.
Naruto Shippuden Chapter One Returns in Free Fire OB55
Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes returned on September 16 and will remain available through October 15. The collaboration brings back the Hidden Leaf Village, Ninjutsu Skill Cards, ninja tools, and themed Revival Points. It also adds several changes to the original event.
Nine Tails can now affect the beginning of a Battle Royale match in three ways. It may strike the aircraft and force players to eject after a countdown. It can also open Arsenals or create a loot-filled crater on Bermuda.
During the match, players may find Sharingan: Control and use it to target an area for a Tailed Beast Bomb. The strike deals 60 explosive damage across a 100-meter radius and leaves temporary flame zones behind.
The Hidden Leaf Village now contains the Ninja Academy and Naruto’s swing. Interacting with the swing provides a 5% movement-speed bonus for the rest of the match. Gamakichi summoning scrolls can also appear around the map and provide battle supplies.
Revival Points have received a Reanimation Jutsu theme. Once a point has been captured, eliminated teammates return through stone coffins with brief protection and revival supplies.
New Ninjutsu and Naruto Rewards
The new 8 Trigrams Palm Rotation ability creates a chakra shield around the player for two seconds. It absorbs bullets, deflects some throwables, knocks back nearby enemies, and deals 50 damage.
It joins six returning Ninjutsu skills, which include Fireball Jutsu, Water Dragon Jutsu, Great Breach, Rasengan, Chidori, and Cherry Blossom Clash. Light and Heavy Shurikens also return alongside Fiery, Lightning, and Wind Kunai.
Players can complete event missions and choose either the Jiraiya Bundle or the new Hinata Bundle as their Pick-One Grand Prize. Other rewards include Tsunade’s Cloak, Gaara’s Tattoo Facepaint, Kakashi’s ANBU Black Ops Mask, and the Froggy Wallet elimination crate.

The official collaboration trailer shows Hinata, the Hidden Leaf Village, Nine Tails, and several of the returning abilities:
Kenta Receives a Complete Skill Rework
Kenta’s original defensive skill has been replaced with a faster ability that combines movement, damage, and protection. Activating the skill sends a swirling tempest forward for eight seconds. It passes through Gloo Walls and deals 25 damage when it hits an enemy.
You can activate the skill again to teleport to the tempest’s current location. After teleporting, Kenta receives a shield that provides 20% damage reduction for five seconds. The skill then enters a 45-second cooldown.
Several other characters and items have also received balance adjustments:
- Morse: Maximum stealth duration falls from 15 to 13 seconds, while Aim Assist can now detect him from 12 meters during stealth.
- Luna: Her rate-of-fire bonus drops from 8% to 5%.
- Wukong: His transformation cooldown drops from 90 to 75 seconds.
- Super Bonfire: EP recovery falls from 20 to 10 per second, while its firing-interval reduction drops from 15% to 8%.
Santino and Nero receive bug fixes, while Skyler’s skill effects are now visible across their full range. The Jammer also has stronger detection-blocking functions and clearer feedback.
Four New Weapons Will Arrive on October 1
The M7, Skorp, RPK, and Hawk will join Free Fire with the next Clash Squad season. Each weapon has its own role and recoil behavior.
| Weapon | Class | Main strength |
| M7 | Assault rifle | High damage and controllable recoil at medium and long range |
| Skorp | Submachine gun | Fast firing speed and strong armor penetration |
| RPK | Light machine gun | Sustained fire with better mobility than traditional machine guns |
| Hawk | Sniper rifle | Two fast shots with high burst damage |
The M7, Skorp, and RPK use a recoil system that moves the reticle upward during continuous fire. The Hawk carries two rounds and can quickly eliminate an opponent with weak armor if both shots land.
These weapons will appear as ground loot or through Weapon Racks and other sources in Battle Royale. They will also enter the Clash Squad Store for between 1,500 and 1,700 CS Cash.
Free Fire OB55 Changes the Weapon Meta
The October 1 balance update gives each weapon class a clearer purpose during combat. The main changes include:
- Submachine guns: The MP5, MAC10, MP40, P90, UMP, and Vector receive faster movement while firing, but their effective ranges are reduced.
- Shotguns: The M1887 gains better range and reload speed. The M590 loses range and receives a much higher minimum damage value.
- Assault rifles: The M4A1, SCAR, FAMAS, AUG, Kingfisher, and G36 receive improvements to accuracy, armor penetration, or range. The GROZA also gains a 50% movement-speed increase while firing.
- Sniper and marksman rifles: The AWM, M82B, M24, VSK94, Kar98k, SKS, SVD, Woodpecker, and AC80 receive movement-speed reductions.
- Machine guns: These weapons lose some movement and reload speed in exchange for stronger sustained fire. The M249 gains 30% damage, the M60 receives a 25% rate-of-fire increase, and the Kord’s magazine expands from 50 to 60 rounds.
Battle Royale and Clash Squad Receive More Changes
Battle Royale now includes random events such as Peak Mania, Razing Storm, and Weapon Surge. These events can alter weapon availability, create destructive weather, or strengthen selected weapon categories during a match.
Airdrops have also been rearranged. Four regular Airdrops begin appearing around 160 seconds into the match. Two Defense Airdrops and one Ultra Airdrop arrive around the 410-second point, with clearer warnings and map markers.
Clash Squad gains Flame Grenades and Sonar Grenades. Flame Grenades create a burning area that damages players, armor, and Gloo Walls. Sonar Grenades scan a 10-meter radius and expose enemy positions for three seconds.
Other additions include the Lone Wolf: Duel of Honor option, improved horse controls, Pyro Pals, Vault search tools, and new Craftland creator features.
The Free Fire OB55 patch notes cover one of the game’s larger updates of the year. Naruto content is already active, Kenta has a new combat role, and the October 1 weapon changes will give players another reason to reconsider their usual loadouts.
