In a couple of hours, Mists of Pandaria will be going live in China. Longtime publisher for Blizzard’s titles in the region, NetEase, held its weekend marketing campaign by setting “pandas” free, letting them roam the streets and subway. Well, these “pandas” are actually models wearing panda caps, walking around town promoting the game. With subscription numbers sliding, perhaps this campaign will raise enough eyebrows for new players to try the game out.
