Azur Promilia Release Date, Characters, Beta Test and Gameplay

Azur Promilia still has no confirmed release date, although English-speaking players finally have an official window to watch. Manjuu Games plans to hold the first English Open Beta Test in summer 2027 through a dedicated US-based server.

The free-to-play fantasy RPG combines open-world action with creature collection, farming, crafting, and home building. It is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.

When Is the Azur Promilia Release Date?

Manjuu has yet to announce an exact launch date for any region. The English version will follow the game’s initial regional launch, with summer 2027 set as its current Open Beta Test window. The developer has warned that this timing may change as work continues.

Japanese and Korean App Store listings display December 31, 2026, although the regional announcements still describe the release date as undecided. The December date appears to be a store placeholder and should not be treated as the official launch day.

The game has already passed 20 million global pre-registrations. The next milestone sits at 25 million and offers Anais as a free playable character if the target is reached.

Every Azur Promilia Beta Test So Far

Azur Promilia has gone through six regional tests since August 2025. Each test gave more players access and introduced additional platforms, characters, Kibo, and gameplay systems. Here is the complete schedule so far:

Region Test period Platforms
China August 15-18, 2025 PC
China April 3-11, 2026 PC, Android, and iOS
South Korea May 15-18, 2026 PC and Android
Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau June 12-15, 2026 PC and Android
Japan July 2-10, 2026 PC and Android
China September 17-October 7, 2026 PC, Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS

The most recent test was China’s Wayfare Test, which ended on October 7. It offered the largest build so far, with 22 playable characters and more than 200 Kibo. Around 70 creatures were new to this version, while Maple joined the playable roster.

The test also added another region, Kibo battle activities, expanded home features, and several quality-of-life improvements. Players could make purchases during the test, though all progress was deleted after the servers closed. Eligible spending will return as paid currency when the Chinese service launches.

Which Azur Promilia Characters Have Been Shown?

Players take the role of the Starborn, whose appearance can be male or female. The documented beta roster also includes:

  • Abby
  • Anais
  • Cathbelle
  • Faridah
  • Han Youyou
  • Katalua
  • Lan Xiangzi
  • Lily
  • Luo Qing
  • Luruka
  • Maple
  • Metsa
  • Minamoto Chiyo
  • Mitty
  • Morwyn
  • Nono
  • Peipei
  • Pengpeng
  • Ruby
  • Shalle
  • Symphoria
  • Terara
  • Tushan Xiaoyu

Characters use different elements and combat roles. For example, Morwyn and Ruby appeared as direct attackers in earlier builds, while Luruka and Metsa provided healing and support. Abby and Faridah focused on breaking enemy stance, while Katalua and Lily offered defensive abilities.

These roles, rarities, and abilities come from beta data, so Manjuu may adjust them before launch. The company also says the English version will open with a wide range of characters, story content, events, and gameplay features.

What to Expect from Azur Promilia

Combat happens in real time and uses a team of switchable characters. Regional builds included regular attacks, charged moves, dodging, guarding, parries, special skills, and elemental effects. Kibo companions can join these fights with their own abilities, so your creatures become part of the team setup.

Kibo also have jobs outside battle. They can gather materials, help with crafting, work on farms, and complete tasks around your home. Some act as mounts, which makes it easier to travel across the large environments.

The latest test expanded this system with Kibo duels, regional challenges, friend battles, and the Star Crown Cup. Cooperative boss activities have appeared in earlier builds as well, though Manjuu has yet to confirm the full multiplayer setup for the English version.

The official English Kibo Safari trailer follows Nono as she introduces several creatures and their abilities. It offers the clearest short look at how Kibo fit into combat, travel, and everyday life:

What Is Confirmed about the English Beta?

The English Open Beta is planned for summer 2027 on a dedicated US-based server. Manjuu has yet to provide its exact dates, eligible countries, registration method, supported test platforms, or progress rules.

For now, the official English account remains the best place to watch for updates. Its English release announcement on X confirms that more information will arrive through the game’s social channels.

Azur Promilia already has a much larger playable build than its early trailers suggested. The release date remains open, though the English beta window gives players a clearer idea of when they may finally enter Promilia. Until then, its next regional launch announcement should show how close the full game really is.
