Slots & Daggers launched on Android and iOS on August 17, 2026. Friedemann developed the compact retro-fantasy roguelite, while Future Friends Games handles publishing. The Android edition is currently listed as a $3.99 purchase on Google Play, although its price can vary between regions.
A Fantasy Adventure Controlled by Slot-Machine Spins
The game places its battles inside a slot machine, so each spin determines which actions become available. Weapons, potions, and spells appear as symbols across the wheels, and you must react to the resulting combinations. Luck affects every turn, but your timing, chosen equipment, and decisions also shape whether you survive an encounter.
Your journey covers ten levels, and each area introduces its own enemies and bosses. The unusual opponent lineup includes Gunslingers of the Red Desert, Knights of Kul, Hammer Goblins, and a character named Ike. These encounters combine retro artwork with a soundtrack built around hip-hop drum machines, which supports the game’s arcade-style presentation.
Defeated enemies provide access to modifiers that can change later battles. These rewards include additional wheels, weapons, spells, equipment, and abilities, so your available options expand as you progress. You can then adjust your loadout during a run and choose combinations that suit the threats ahead.
The Mobile Release Includes a Compact Campaign
The main campaign takes around four to eight hours to complete. Players who want to continue after the final stages can enter Egg Arena, a separate high-score mode that extends the experience. This structure keeps the central journey focused while the arena offers a reason to refine strategies and pursue stronger results.
Slots & Daggers first arrived on Steam for Windows and macOS on October 24, 2025. It later reached PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on May 15, 2026. The August mobile launch now makes the same basic adventure available through phones and tablets.
The mobile launch announcement states that the game had sold 300,000 copies. It also reported more than 6,500 Steam reviews with a 94% positive rating. Future Friends Games released a new trailer alongside the mobile editions, which shows its slot-based battles on smaller screens.
Friedemann created the project as a solo developer based in Berlin. He co-founded Grizzly Games with Paul Schnepf and Jonas Tyroller, and he helped create ISLANDERS and Superflight. His other work includes the solo project SUMMERHOUSE and Pizza Possum, which he developed with Thomas van den Berg.
Also, if Slots & Daggers is supported in your region, you can play its Android version on a PC or Mac with BlueStacks. A larger screen can make the reels and combat symbols easier to follow, while keyboard and mouse controls offer another way to play. You can also use BlueStacks for other compatible Android games.
