Players can now pre-register for Reigns: Beyond. The upcoming version brings Nerial and Devolver Digital’s spacefaring card adventure to the platform for the first time. The game first appeared on Apple Arcade in 2020 and later reached PC and Nintendo Switch in April 2024.
A standalone iOS release is currently expected on August 12, 2026. Devolver has yet to announce the Android release date or price. The Google Play page also leaves the download size, device requirements, and possible pre-registration rewards unspecified.
What to Expect From Reigns: Beyond
You take command of the Sandman, a starship that carries an intergalactic indie rock band between planets and concert venues. Each encounter appears as a card with two possible responses, and swiping left or right commits you to one of them. That decision can change the story or affect your energy, oxygen, crew happiness, and ship condition.
Managing those four resources shapes every journey. A choice that raises morale may consume oxygen, while an emergency repair could drain power. You also select routes through the galaxy, visit shops, recruit alien band members, and face pirates or tax collectors in swipe-controlled dogfights.
The adventure includes more than 60 characters and over 1,400 decision cards. Concerts introduce a separate music minigame where you guide a guitar into heart-shaped notes. Strong performances produce more money for items and repairs, while the nine Galactic Guitars offer different songs and story connections. Sam Webster composed the original soundtrack.
Reigns: Beyond Beginner Tips
Every swipe can affect your resources, crew, or progress through the galaxy. The following tips can help you protect your ship and make steady progress:
- Preview both responses before swiping: Drag each card toward both sides to see the available answers and which resource meters may change. The exact effect can remain hidden until you commit.
- Protect your oxygen supply: An empty oxygen meter can immediately end your current run, so avoid spending oxygen on minor benefits when the resource is already low.
- Balance all four resource meters: Repeatedly supporting the same crew member may weaken another part of the ship. Check your energy, oxygen, crew happiness, and ship condition before responding.
- Follow the Celestial Deeds: These objectives can guide you toward new characters, guitars, locations, and unusual events whenever you are unsure what to pursue.
- Return to the Sandman between journeys: Speak with passengers to continue their stories and practice songs before performing them at paid concerts.
- Save some concert income: Repairs and useful shop items can help you survive future encounters. Ordinary objects may also open new story paths or provide solutions to later problems.
- Remember previously visited locations: Keep track of planet and sector names because the route map may lead you back toward familiar parts of the galaxy.
- Learn from every completed run: Remember how recurring cards affected your resources, and then use that information to make safer choices during your next attempt.

Once the Android version launches, you can play Reigns: Beyond on PC or Mac with BlueStacks. Download and install BlueStacks, sign in to the Google Play Store, and search for Reigns: Beyond when it becomes available.
After installation, launch it from the BlueStacks home screen and use the larger display for card choices, resource tracking, and guitar performances.
