As you move into tougher content, having incomplete Treasure sets can leave your Cats significantly weaker than they should be. For new players, Treasure farming should be part of normal progression rather than something saved for later.
How Treasures Work?
Treasures are earned by clearing stages in the main story chapters. Each stage can award one of three Treasure qualities:

That is why completing Treasure sets can produce a much larger improvement than leveling a single Cat. A fully activated attack Treasure, for example, benefits your entire Cat roster rather than one unit. This also means that Treasure farming remains valuable long after you have cleared the stage where a specific Treasure was obtained.
The Best Empire of Cats Treasures to Prioritize
Empire of Cats contains several Treasure sets, and they do not all provide the same practical value. Some have a noticeable effect on nearly every battle, making them particularly worthwhile for new and mid-game accounts.
- Energy Drink: The Energy Drink increases the rate at which you earn money during battles. A stronger income rate lets you deploy expensive Cats sooner and makes it easier to maintain a continuous frontline. Since money generation affects virtually every stage, this is one of the most useful early Treasure sets to complete.
- Giant Safe: The Giant Safe increases your maximum Worker Cat wallet capacity. This becomes important when your strategy depends on saving for a high-cost attacker or maintaining several expensive units at once. A larger wallet also makes it easier to convert a strong early-game economy into a full combat formation.
- Relativity Clock: The Relativity Clock reduces Cat production cooldowns. This is especially valuable for teams built around cheap meatshields. Faster recharge means you can replace defeated frontliners more quickly, protect your backline more consistently, and recover more easily after an enemy push.
- Philosopher’s Stone: The Philosopher’s Stone increases the XP you get from battles. It becomes increasingly useful as your roster grows and you need large amounts of XP to level multiple Cats. The sooner you complete this set, the more value you receive from every subsequent XP reward.
- Legendary Cat Shield: The Legendary Cat Shield increases the health of your Cats. Unlike a single defensive unit, this Treasure boosts your entire roster. It becomes noticeable in difficult stages where surviving one additional attack can determine whether your formation holds or collapses.
- Legendary Cat Sword: The Legendary Cat Sword increases Cat attack power. This is one of the most universally useful combat Treasures because the effect applies across your roster. Stronger attacks help both your early-game meatshield-and-backliner setups and more specialized teams later on.
- Management Bible: The Management Bible increases your maximum Cat Energy. This does not directly make your Cats stronger in battle, but it gives you a larger Energy reserve for playing stages. That makes it especially useful for long Treasure-farming sessions and extended progression.
Don’t Ignore the Other Empire of Cats Treasures
The remaining Treasure sets are easy to overlook because their effects are less directly connected to Cat combat. However, they are still useful. For example:
- Smart Material Wall increases Cat Base health, which can provide extra room for error on difficult stages.
- Super Register increases the amount of money gained from defeated enemies, improving the economy during battles.
- Energy Core increases Cat Cannon attack power, making it more effective.
- Turbo Machine reduces Cat Cannon recharge time, allowing it to be used more frequently.
These effects may not feel as important as Cat HP or attack, but they are permanent account upgrades. Completing your Treasure collection eventually means benefiting from all of them.
Treasure Festivals: The Best Time to Farm
Treasure Festivals significantly improve the odds of receiving a Treasure when clearing eligible story stages. Rather than repeatedly spending Energy on poor odds throughout the day, save your concentrated farming sessions for Festival periods whenever possible. Treasure Festival availability can vary by chapter and schedule, so check the in-game event information before committing to a farming session.
How to Farm During a Treasure Festival
Pick one Treasure you need, then build a team that can clear its stage as quickly and consistently as possible. Fast units such as Cow Cat, Giraffe Cat, or suitable EX Cats can help you finish easier stages rapidly. The goal is not to create the strongest possible team; it is to minimize the time and Energy required for every attempt. Once you obtain the Superior Treasure, move to the next stage instead of continuing to farm a Treasure you already completed.
The Most Efficient Treasure Farming Routine
Treasure farming becomes much easier when you approach it systematically.
- Identify Missing Treasures: Open the Treasure menu and check which sets are incomplete. Prioritize the effects that will have the biggest impact on your current progression.
- Wait for a Treasure Festival: Rather than grinding every missing stage at random times, use Festival periods for concentrated farming. This reduces the number of clears required on average.
- Farm One Set at a Time: Do not bounce between dozens of unfinished stages. Choose a Treasure set, work through its stages, and finish the relevant Gold versions before moving to the next priority.
- Use a Fast-Clearing Team: For easy stages, a high-speed farming setup is usually more valuable than a balanced combat lineup. Use cheap units or fast attackers that can reach the enemy base quickly.
- Stop Once the Superior Treasure Drops: After obtaining the Gold version, there is no reason to repeatedly farm that stage for the same Treasure. Move your attention to the next missing Treasure.
When Should You Farm Empire of Cats Treasures?
You do not necessarily have to stop all story progression until every Treasure is Gold. A better approach is to use Treasure farming as part of your overall progression. If a stage is easy and a Treasure Festival is active, take advantage of it. If you are struggling with a major boss or your Cats suddenly seem underpowered, check your Treasure collection before spending all your XP trying to solve the problem through levels alone.
For Into the Future, this becomes even more important because the story introduces Alien-specific Treasure effects. The two most important examples are the Aqua Crystal and Plasma Crystal, which reduce the effective strength of Alien enemies as their activation increases. That means Treasure farming does not stop with Empire of Cats; each new story saga introduces another layer of permanent progression.
Treasure Radar: Use It Carefully
A Treasure Radar guarantees the highest-quality reward from an eligible Treasure stage. That sounds like the perfect solution to bad Treasure luck, but Treasure Radars are valuable consumables and should not become your default farming method. For ordinary Empire of Cats stages, replaying the level during a Treasure Festival is usually the better long-term strategy.
When Treasure Radars Are Worth Using
Treasure Radars are much more attractive when the alternative is repeatedly farming a difficult stage for a valuable guaranteed reward. They can be especially useful for obtaining rare stage-drop Cats and for certain difficult stages where the reward you need has a particularly low drop chance. They can also be valuable on high-reward XP stages when you specifically want to guarantee the relevant reward.
The important distinction is this: use Treasure Radars to save yourself from bad-value grinding, not simply because a normal Treasure failed to drop.
What Not to Do While Treasure Farming
- Don’t Spend Radars on Every Bronze Drop: Getting Bronze after a clear is frustrating, but using a Radar immediately turns a routine farming session into a resource sink. Save Radars for rewards where guaranteed drops justify the item.
- Don’t Ignore Easy Stages During Festivals: Treasure farming is at its most efficient when the required stage is easy enough to clear quickly. Do not wait until you absolutely need a Treasure to start farming it. Collecting useful Gold sets earlier gives you their benefits for every battle that follows.
- Don’t Farm with an Overpowered Team: A stage that can be cleared in seconds with a cheap lineup does not need your most expensive Cats. The faster you clear each attempt, the more stages you can complete during a Festival window.
- Don’t Assume Levels Fix Everything: A level increase may help your Cats survive longer, but permanent Treasure bonuses improve the account as a whole. When progression suddenly slows down, always check your Treasure collection before grinding large amounts of XP.
Treasures are one of the most important forms of permanent progression in The Battle Cats. They affect your economy, Cat statistics, production times, XP rewards, Cat Cannon, Energy, and (once you reach later story chapters) the way you deal with major enemy mechanics.
You do not need to stop the entire game and farm every Treasure immediately. Instead, make Treasure farming part of your normal progression.
