Passing Final Selection officially establishes your character as a Demon Slayer in Roblox Slayers 2, but it doesn’t mean you’ve reached the end of the progression system. Your first rank, Mizunoto, marks the beginning of the Slayer route, opening access to faction assignments, the Kasugai Crow, and additional character progression features. Here, we will explain how these systems work, what your first rank unlocks, and how to make the most of your status as a member of the Corps.
1. Your First Demon Slayer Rank: Mizunoto
Mizunoto is the starting rank for players who successfully complete Final Selection. It is your official entry into the Slayer Corps and marks the transition from ordinary character progression to the faction’s activities. The Demon Slayer Corps follows a traditional hierarchy, with ranks such as Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, and Kanoe.
Your first rank is awarded when you successfully finish the Final Selection sequence and register the result with The Sisters. For more info about this selection (and its rewards), you can check out our Roblox Slayers 2: Ultimate Player Progression Guide.
2. How the Kasugai Crow Supports Your Corps Progression
Once you become a Demon Slayer, the Kasugai Crow becomes one of your most useful tools for finding additional work and increasing your rank. It provides repeatable boss and enemy assignments, allowing you to earn experience and Wen while collecting equipment and materials from the same encounters.
How to Use Crow Assignments Efficiently
The best approach is to combine your Crow’s objectives with ordinary quests from nearby NPCs. For example, your Crow assigns you to eliminate a particular boss. Before traveling to that location, check whether the local quest giver offers a corresponding boss mission. If both objectives involve the same enemy, you can potentially complete them during one fight.
Which Crow Assignments Should You Prioritize?
Not every assignment offers the same value: Consider the target’s difficulty, location, and reward when deciding which contract to accept. A practical priority order is:
| ASSIGNMENT PRIORITY | TARGET TYPE | RECOMMENDATION |
| Highest | Mythic boss targets | Prioritize when your build can defeat them reliably |
| High | Legendary boss targets | Good alternatives when Mythic targets aren’t available |
| Medium | Epic boss targets | Useful for consistent farming and easier clears |
| Low | Weak enemies with inconvenient locations | Skip when the reward doesn’t justify the travel time |
The highest-rarity contract isn’t automatically the most efficient option. A difficult boss that takes several minutes to defeat may provide less progress per minute than a nearby target you can eliminate quickly.
Public and Private Server Differences
Private servers can make boss farming more convenient because you don’t have to compete with other players for enemy spawns. However, current Crow hunt reward scaling is as follows:
| PARTY SIZE | REWARD |
| One player | 50% |
| Two players | 75% |
| Three or more players | 100% |
This means a private server is quite useful when you want uncontested boss access, but playing with two or three people can improve the reward efficiency. For solo players, compare the time saved by controlling the boss spawn against the reduction in the reward. The better option depends on how quickly you can complete the assignment.
3. Slayer Progress: The Separate Upgrade System
One of the most important things to understand after becoming a Slayer is that Slayer Progress is not the same as your Corps Rank or character level. It is a separate development track that provides permanent character bonuses through Gourd training. However, it is still required because the benefits you get will help in other progression systems.
To access the system, you must complete Ren’s prerequisite quest at Butterfly Estate. His missing Nichirin blade must be recovered and returned so the Gourd shop can be unlocked. The quest becomes available at Level 75. Once it is done, you can start purchasing Gourds and use them to increase your Slayer Progress bar.
What Slayer Progress Unlocks
The system has four progression levels, with the final stage providing the Breathing Boost skill.
| PROGRESS LEVEL | MAIN BENEFITS |
| Level 1 | Initial Slayer Progression stage |
| Level 2 | Additional Health and Stamina |
| Level 3 | Permanent Defense and Stamina bonuses |
| Level 4 (Max) | +100 Max Health, +0.08 Max Health Factor, and Breathing Boost |
Why Breathing Boost Is Worth Unlocking
Breathing Boost is a movement skill that becomes available when Slayer Progress reaches Level 4. Once unlocked, equip your Katana and activate it using N (on PC). It surrounds your character with a golden effect and temporarily increases movement speed.
This makes it useful for chasing opponents, repositioning during combat, and moving through the map more quickly. It’s not a new Corps rank or a Breathing Style upgrade. Think of it as a separate reward for developing your character through the Slayer Progress system.
4. Other Milestones Worth Pursuing After Mizunoto
Your first rank opens the door to several activities that contribute to long-term character development. They are important milestones for players who want to strengthen their Slayer.
Improve Your Weapon and Breathing Mastery
Weapon Mastery and Breathing Mastery increase through actual combat usage. Keep using your preferred Katana and Breathing Style during Crow assignments, boss encounters, and regional quests.
Developing mastery alongside ordinary leveling is more efficient than treating each system as a completely separate grind.
Unlock the Forge
The Forge quest becomes available at Level 65 through Blacksmith Togane in Hidden Mist Village. Completing the associated quest opens the route to Ouwigahara, where you can work toward upgraded weapons and more advanced equipment. This is especially important for players who want to move beyond their starter Katana and begin preparing for endgame encounters.
Develop Your Equipment
Your equipment contributes to your effectiveness in both PvP and PvE. Instead of equipping items based entirely on their rarity, look at their actual bonuses. Consider the following priorities:
- Damage: Useful for reducing boss fight times and clearing enemies more efficiently.
- Health: Helps you survive extended encounters.
- Damage Reduction: Valuable when fighting opponents with powerful burst combinations.
- Stamina and movement: Support longer combos, dodging, and repositioning.
Your Clan and combat style should also influence your equipment decisions. For example, a Wind player may prioritize stamina and offensive pressure, while a Water specialist might prefer a more defensive setup.

Mizunoto is the first rank in Slayers 2, but it’s only the beginning of your development as a Demon Slayer. Your Kasugai Crow introduces repeatable assignments, Slayer Progress provides permanent bonuses, and the Forge eventually opens access to advanced weapons.
Concentrate on improving your character, completing Crow assignments efficiently, developing Slayer Progress, and preparing your equipment for harder encounters. These are the progression systems that offer practical benefits to your account.
