This is a practical overall ranking, not a claim that every Identity performs identically in every battle. Limbus Company’s combat system means that an Identity can rise dramatically in value when its status effects, Sin affinities, and passives are supported properly.

3 Rules for Building a Strong Limbus Company Team
- Choose a Core Before Filling the Remaining Slots: Start with one or two Identities that define what you want your team to do. They might be a powerful generalist carry, a House of Spiders core, a Heishou Pack setup, or a dedicated status engine. Once that foundation is chosen, fill the remaining slots with units that provide the relevant Sin resources, status effects, support, or Clash power.
- Don’t Mix Status Effects Without a Reason: A single team applying five unrelated statuses may look versatile but can end up generating many effects without ever building meaningful stacks. Specialized teams generally gain more from concentration. That does not mean mixed compositions are bad; it simply means every status effect included should serve a clear purpose.
- Invest in E.G.O That Solve Problems: Do not evaluate E.G.O only by their damage numbers. Healing, SP recovery, defensive effects, area attacks, and team buffs can be more valuable across an entire fight. Fluid Sac, in particular, remains an outstanding general-purpose investment because it addresses both HP and SP management.

That does not make older Identities obsolete. La Manchaland, Wild Hunt, Blade Lineage, Jeong’s Office, and several Lobotomy E.G.O Identities remain excellent investments when their particular strengths fit your roster.
For most accounts, the ideal approach is to build around one strong core, then add units that improve its Clash reliability, status generation, resource economy, or survivability. Pair that roster with a few high-value E.G.O (especially strong healing and SP recovery options), and even a team without every newest Identity can perform extremely well in endgame content.
