Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden is back with Nine Tails Strikes, bringing another set of Naruto-themed cosmetics, missions, and event activities. One of the biggest rewards is a choice between the Jiraiya Bundle and Hinata Bundle, with one of them available completely free through event progression.
You do have to choose, though. Once you select your Grand Prize, that becomes the bundle you work toward through the Nine Tails Strikes event. The other outfit remains available as a discounted purchase rather than a second free reward.
Here is how the system works and what you need to do to claim your chosen bundle.
How to Get Jiraiya or Hinata for Free
Getting either outfit does not require Luck Royale spins or Diamonds. Instead, the free bundle is tied directly to progression in the Nine Tails Strikes event.
The process works like this:
- Open the Nine Tails Strikes event from the Free Fire event menu.
- Choose either the Jiraiya Bundle or Hinata Bundle as your Grand Prize.
- Complete Daily Tasks to earn Fire Scrolls.
- Spend Fire Scrolls in the event’s Defend activity.
- Continue increasing your Progress until you reach the final outfit reward.
- Claim the bundle you selected as your Grand Prize.

The important part is making your choice before you start treating the event as normal mission grinding. The bundle selection determines which outfit you will eventually receive for free.
Choose Your Grand Prize Carefully
The event presents Jiraiya and Hinata side by side and asks you to pick one as your Grand Prize.
Only one of the two bundles is free through the progression track. The other becomes available for purchase after your selection, with the event offering a large discount on the unselected outfit.

This means there is no gameplay reason to pick one over the other. These are cosmetic bundles, so the decision comes down to which Naruto character and outfit you actually want in your collection.
If you prefer Jiraiya, select him before starting your progression. If you would rather have Hinata, choose her instead.
Players interested in owning both can still obtain the second bundle separately, but only the selected Grand Prize is earned through the free event path.
Complete Daily Tasks for Fire Scrolls
After choosing your reward, your main objective is collecting Fire Scrolls.
The Nine Tails Strikes rules state that Fire Scrolls come from completing the event’s Daily Tasks. These tasks are therefore the foundation of the entire free-bundle progression system.
Rather than simply logging in and waiting for the outfit to unlock, check the Daily Tasks section whenever you play and complete as many available objectives as possible. Since the event is limited-time, missing too many days can make the final progression requirement harder to reach before it ends.

Fire Scrolls are not the final reward themselves. They are the resource you use to advance the next part of the event.
Use Fire Scrolls to Defend Against the Nine Tails
Fire Scrolls are spent through the Defend activity on the main Nine Tails Strikes screen.
Using them moves your event progression forward and unlocks rewards at several milestones. The event screen shows rewards along the progression track before the final Grand Prize, so you will collect additional Naruto-themed items while working toward the outfit.
The visible milestone track includes rewards at different Progress levels before eventually reaching the main prize. In other words, you are not grinding exclusively for the bundle; the event hands out smaller rewards along the way.
The goal is simply to keep earning Fire Scrolls and spending them through Defend until your Progress reaches the Grand Prize requirement.
Reach the Final Progress Milestone
The free outfit sits at the end of the Nine Tails Strikes progression track.
Once you have accumulated enough Progress, the Jiraiya or Hinata Bundle you selected earlier becomes available to claim.

You do not need to randomly roll for the outfit, and your progress is not based on luck. As long as you complete enough tasks, earn enough Fire Scrolls, and keep using them in the event, you can steadily work toward the final reward.
This makes the event considerably easier to plan around than a standard Luck Royale reward.
Jiraiya or Hinata: Which Bundle Should You Pick?
Since neither bundle changes your character’s abilities, there is no objectively better choice.
Pick Jiraiya if you prefer his outfit and character design, or choose Hinata if you want her Naruto Shippuden appearance instead. The choice mainly matters because your selected bundle becomes the free reward while the other moves to the paid option.
For players who only want to spend time rather than Diamonds, the safest approach is to choose whichever outfit you would be most disappointed to miss.
Once you have selected it, focus entirely on finishing the event progression rather than worrying about the second bundle.
Other Naruto Rewards Are Available Too
The free bundle is not the only reward attached to the collaboration.
The Nine Tails Strikes event also includes other Naruto-themed activities. The screenshots show a Naruto Battle Card challenge that asks players to complete 45 matches in BR or CS-Ranked, giving players another free cosmetic objective to work toward alongside their daily Fire Scroll missions.
There is also a Mini Pass connected to the event. Playing BR or CS-Ranked matches grants EXP toward Mini Pass levels, which unlock free rewards and heavily discounted items as you progress.

Another collection reward is the Gamabunta Summoning Super Emote. The event indicates that players who collect five of the six Naruto Shippuden outfit bundles can unlock this larger collection prize.
These systems are separate from earning your free Jiraiya or Hinata outfit, so you do not need to complete every Naruto event to get the Grand Prize.
Finish Your Daily Tasks Before the Event Ends
The easiest way to approach Nine Tails Strikes is to treat it as a daily progression event rather than something to finish in one sitting.
Choose your Jiraiya or Hinata Bundle first, complete the available Daily Tasks, collect Fire Scrolls, and spend them through the Defend activity whenever possible. Keep doing that until your Progress reaches the final reward and you can claim the outfit.

Just remember that the selection matters. Only one of the two bundles follows the free progression route, while the other becomes a discounted purchase.
If you only plan on claiming the free reward, pick your favorite first and make the Daily Tasks your priority until the bundle is secured.
