Apex Legends Tier List: All Legends Ranked for Season 30

Picking the right Legend decides more Apex Legends matches than raw aim does. This Apex Legends tier list ranks all 28 Legends for Season 30: Marked. To do so, we have used live ranked pick rates, win rates, and the Split 2 balance patch that landed on September 15. You will find every Legend sorted according to their current place in the meta. If you are climbing ranked or coming back after a break, start here.

Apex Legends Tier List 2026

Tier Legends
S-Tier Axle, Loba, Pathfinder, Seer
A-Tier Conduit, Fuse, Catalyst, Alter, Vantage, Revenant, Gibraltar
B-Tier Bloodhound, Octane, Mad Maggie, Bangalore, Horizon, Wraith, Valkyrie, Lifeline, Sparrow
C-Tier Caustic, Wattson, Crypto, Ash, Newcastle, Mirage, Rampart, Ballistic

Season 30 did not add a new Legend, so the roster sits at 28 across five classes: Assault, Controller, Recon, Skirmisher, and Support. Instead of a new face, Marked rebuilt Bloodhound from the ground up, buffed Loba and Rampart, and stripped a huge amount of high-tier loot out of the game. That last change is doing more to shape the meta than any single ability tweak.

S-Tier Legends in Apex Legends

These four define how Season 30 games play out. If you want the shortest path up the ranked ladder, pick from this group.

Axle

Axle has absorbed nerf after nerf and still sits at the top of high-level ranked play, which tells you everything about how strong Nitro Gates are. Her tactical launches your whole squad into a high-speed slide, and that turns awkward rotations into free ones. Split 2 cut her Kickstart drone to 150 HP and pushed its cooldown from 90 to 120 seconds. The stun fell from 1.5 seconds to a quarter of a second. Her ultimate now hurts her too. None of it has dented her because the tactical was always the reason to pick her.

Loba

Loba went from one of the least-used Legends in the game to a top-two ranked pick in a single season, and the loot changes are why. Season 30 pulled gold attachments and gold backpacks out of the loot pool entirely and cut purple spawn rates across every map. Seeing epic gear through walls suddenly matters enormously. Her bracelet also equips faster, flies about 15% farther, and travels roughly 30% quicker, while Black Market’s cooldown dropped from 150 to 120 seconds.

Pathfinder

Pathfinder is the most-picked Legend in Apex Legends across the whole player base, and that popularity is earned rather than nostalgic. Two grapple charges give him escape options nobody else gets. His Zipline Gun is still the cleanest way to move a full squad across open ground before a third party arrives. He asks more of your movement mechanics than most Skirmishers, but the ceiling justifies the practice.

Seer

Seer keeps landing on the nerf list and keeps showing up in high-level lobbies anyway. Focus of Attention scans through walls, gives you a speed boost on hit, and shortens your holster time when you fire it with a gun out. The July hotfix moved his two best upgrades to Level 3 so you can only take one, and Split 2 removed the turn slow on his tactical. He is less oppressive to fight now, and still one of the best information Legends in the game.

A-Tier Legends in Apex Legends

Strong, flexible picks that win games without demanding a perfect setup. Several of these are climbing fast.

Conduit

Conduit is the biggest Support riser in Apex Legends right now, with her pick rate more than doubling in the week after Split 2. Her Energy Barricade deploys noticeably faster, the jammers spawn tighter and activate quicker, and you can now toggle the wall to fire forward in a line. Two fresh Level 2 upgrades replaced the old ones. Concurrency lets you refire the barricade with no cooldown, while Jammed Up widens the jammer radius and scrambles enemy HUDs.

Fuse

Fuse is the third most-played Legend in the game and Split 2 handed him a serious upgrade. He now carries 25% explosive damage resistance at base, spots nearby ordnance through the world, and keeps Knuckle Jump and Knuckle Cluster in his base kit. Two new Level 3 upgrades let you widen his cluster explosions or stick the projectile directly to enemies. He is simple to learn and finally hits hard enough to justify the slot.

Catalyst

No Legend in Apex Legends gained ground faster this week than Catalyst. Her tactical cooldown dropped from 20 to 15 seconds, her spikes now damage enemies on contact, and the spikes sit tall enough that jumping over them stopped being easy. The best change is quieter. Allies no longer get slowed or blinded walking through Dark Veil, which was the main reason squads groaned when someone locked her in.

Alter

Alter turns walls into doors, and that is still one of the most disruptive tools in the game. Void Passage cuts through any surface under 25 metres thick, so buildings stop being safe holds the moment she is nearby. Void Nexus gives your squad a reset button on a fight that went wrong. She rewards players who plan two moves ahead rather than those who just want to win gunfights.

Vantage

Vantage holds a strong win rate in top-level lobbies while flying under the radar in casual play. Sniper’s Mark tags a target and boosts damage for your entire squad, which converts a long-range poke into a real opening. Echo Relocation gives her repositioning that most Recon Legends never get. She needs you to actually hit your shots, and she pays you well when you do.

Revenant

Revenant climbed roughly 31% in pick rate over the past week, and Forged Shadows is the reason. The ultimate wraps you in regenerating armour that refreshes on knockdowns, which rewards aggression instead of punishing it. Shadow Pounce closes distance fast, and his large hitbox is the honest trade-off for all that survivability.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar posts one of the highest win rates in high-level ranked despite a modest pick rate, which usually signals a Legend people underrate. Dome of Protection buys your team the seconds it needs to res or heal, Gun Shield rewards holding angles, and Defensive Bombardment ends held positions outright. In a season where healing items got scarcer, a portable safe zone is worth more than it looks.

B-Tier Legends in Apex Legends

Perfectly winnable picks that need the right map, squad, or player. Most of this tier is one patch away from moving up.

Legend Class Why They Sit Here
Bloodhound Recon Fully reworked this season with the new Allfather’s Cloak ultimate, but adoption has stayed flat and the kit has not clicked yet
Octane Skirmisher Easy to pick up and genuinely fast, though Stim’s health cost punishes sloppy play
Mad Maggie Assault Riot Drill burns enemies out of cover, but her pick rate slid after the Season 30 loot changes
Bangalore Assault Smoke plus a speed boost under fire is still reliable, just outclassed by newer kits
Horizon Skirmisher Excellent win rate in skilled hands; Gravity Lift demands precise timing
Wraith Skirmisher Into the Void remains the safest escape in the game, but her damage contribution is thin
Valkyrie Recon Took real nerfs this season to her missile damage and ultimate height
Lifeline Support Forgiving and beginner-friendly, with D.O.C Halo shining now that healing is scarcer
Sparrow Recon Double Jump and Tracker Dart are great tools that struggle to beat Seer’s raw output

Bloodhound deserves a closer look, because the gap between the rework and the results is the most interesting story of Season 30. The new ultimate cloaks your whole squad for up to 12 seconds after they leave the field, grants 20% extra movement speed, and hands out threat vision. On paper that is a top-tier ambush tool. In practice, pick rates barely moved, and Split 2 followed up with tighter sonar snapshots and reduced cloak visibility inside the dome. Keep an eye on this one.

C-Tier Legends in Apex Legends

These Legends still win games, but they ask for far more setup than the tiers above.

Legend Class The Problem
Caustic Controller Nox gas holds a room well, but he has no answer to squads that simply rotate around him
Wattson Controller Interception Pylon is excellent on a static hold and nearly useless while moving
Crypto Recon Drone scouting costs you a body in the fight, which is a rough trade in fast lobbies
Ash Assault Phase Breach is strong, though her tether and dash rely on hitting narrow windows
Newcastle Support Castle Wall is one of the best ultimates in the game, gated behind a slow, clunky kit
Mirage Support Decoys work on distracted players and almost never on good ones
Rampart Controller Season 30 gave her faster Sheila movement and sturdier walls, and she is still tied to one spot
Ballistic Assault A third weapon slot is useful; the rest of the kit rarely changes a fight

Rampart is the fairest test case for this tier. Season 30 raised her wall health at low EVO levels and cut half a second off deployment. Her base move speed while spinning Sheila more than doubled. Those are real improvements, and her pick rate still fell. A Legend built around holding ground struggles badly in a season where everyone is sliding through Nitro Gates.

Best Team Comps in Apex Legends Season 30

Tiers rank individuals. Games are won by squads, and these three compositions cover most situations you will hit in ranked.

  • Rotation comp — Axle, Loba, Conduit. Nitro Gates get you across the map, Loba fixes your loadout in a season where purple gear is rare, and Conduit keeps shields topped up through the aggression.
  • Information comp — Seer, Pathfinder, Gibraltar. You scan before you commit, zipline in on your terms, and drop a dome the moment the fight turns. Reliable on every map.
  • Hold comp — Catalyst, Caustic, Newcastle. Reinforced doors, gas, and a Castle Wall make endgame circles miserable for attackers. Weak early, brutal in the final rings.

Best Apex Legends for New Players

Do not start with Axle or Alter just because they rank highly. Mobility-heavy Legends reward hundreds of hours of muscle memory, and you will spend your first fifty matches fighting the controls instead of the enemy squad.

Start with one of these instead:

  • Bangalore for Assault fundamentals. Smoke and a speed boost are intuitive and hard to misuse.
  • Lifeline for Support basics. Automatic revives free you up to shoot while your teammate gets picked up.
  • Conduit if you want to be useful immediately. Shielding a teammate takes one button and no positioning theory.
  • Octane for movement without complexity. Stim and Launch Pad teach tempo without punishing mistakes.

To Conclude

Season 30 is a mobility season with a loot problem, and the tier list reflects both. Axle and Pathfinder win because they move squads faster than anyone else, Loba wins because gold gear vanished and epic loot became genuinely scarce, and Seer wins because information still beats reflexes. That top four is stable, and it will take a heavier patch than Split 2 to shake it loose.

The more interesting question is what happens next. Conduit, Catalyst, and Fuse all took meaningful buffs on September 15, and all three are climbing fast. One of them could force its way into S-Tier before Marked ends in early November. Bloodhound is the opposite case: a full rework that the player base has not embraced, which usually means another patch is coming.

If you are climbing right now, lock in Axle or Loba and learn the rotations. If you want to be ahead of the next shift, put your hours into Conduit or Catalyst while everyone else is still figuring them out. And if you are brand new, ignore the top of the list entirely and pick Bangalore or Lifeline until the map stops feeling like chaos.
