Dynasty Warriors: Overlords is now available on Android and iOS following its worldwide launch on July 30, 2026. The game’s servers opened at 12:00 PM GMT+8 across Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Players in mainland China and Japan are excluded from this version.
A Wider Release Following the 2022 Version
The final launch date followed several changes to the game’s release schedule. Its App Store page originally listed July 1, before the expected date moved to August 2. NEOCRAFT later confirmed that the servers would open on July 30, while some regional stores continued displaying the pre-registration option until their listings finished updating.
This release brings Dynasty Warriors: Overlords to a much wider group of players. An earlier version launched through VNG Games in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines in August 2022. NEOCRAFT LIMITED is handling the current release, and the game remains officially licensed by KOEI TECMO GAMES.
What to Expect From the Mobile Musou Combat
Dynasty Warriors: Overlords adapts the series’ familiar 1-vs-1,000 battles for mobile devices. You can charge into groups of soldiers, perform cooldown-free two-button combinations, and use Musou Attacks to clear large sections of the battlefield. Character models and combat animations draw from official KOEI TECMO materials, which helps the mobile edition retain the look and movement of the main series.
The story follows the conflicts between Wei, Shu, Wu, and Jin during the Three Kingdoms era. Its playable roster includes officers such as Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun, Zhao Yun, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Sun Quan, Zhou Yu, Diao Chan, and Lu Bu. Each character has a separate fighting style, weapon, skills, and progression path.
During battles, you can form a party of officers and change the character under your control. The remaining allies fight alongside you, while compatible officer combinations activate Bond or Joined Skills. These team attacks connect the character-collection system with the real-time combat. Cooperative raids and boss encounters also let you enter larger fights with other players. PvE challenge modes and competitive PvP activities provide more ways to improve and test your officer roster.
Launch Rewards and Requirements
NEOCRAFT prepared several rewards for the launch. The official pre-registration campaign passed one million sign-ups, unlocking its final milestone package with a 10x Summon Order, Morning Dew, and an exclusive avatar frame. Launch codes include DWOJOINUS for the pre-registration pack, DWOMILST for the milestone pack, and DWO2026 for the open-beta gift pack. The Gift Redeem option becomes available after reaching Lord Level 12.
The game is free to download and includes in-app purchases and character summons. Its iOS installation is approximately 4.1 GB and requires iOS 15.0 or later. Supported languages include English, Indonesian, Korean, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Dynasty Warriors: Overlords is one of the many mobile games you can play on a PC or Mac through BlueStacks. A larger screen gives you a clearer view of crowded battlefields, while keyboard and mouse controls make character movement, attacks, and officer switching easier to manage.
