Ragnarok Origin: Classic has expanded its regional service following its initial Asian debut. Gravity Game Vision released the MMORPG across Asia in March 2026 before opening separate servers throughout the Americas in July.
You can now enter Midgard on mobile or PC, although the correct download depends on your region. Once you begin, your first job choice, quest order, and use of upgrade materials will shape how smoothly your character progresses.
When Was Ragnarok Origin: Classic Released?
Ragnarok Origin: Classic launched in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia on March 26, 2026. The Americas version followed on July 23, and brought service to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, and Peru.
Both releases support Android, iOS, and an official Windows client. But they use separate regional builds and servers, so you should download the version available through your local store. Gravity has yet to announce a dedicated European release date.
The Classic edition returns to the Ragnarok Origin universe with simplified growth systems and a Monthly Pass model. It includes 14 Transcendent second jobs, 27 build options, flexible job switching, and regional multiplayer.
The current Asian version also features the Shadows over Glast Heim expansion. This introduces Gunslinger, a new story chapter, the Glast Heim map, and the Draconic Cataclysm team dungeon.
Choose a Beginner-Friendly First Job
Every character begins as a Novice and reaches the first job change around Job Level 10. Before confirming your character, check the Available Jobs indicator because your selected character type determines which paths you can access.
Archer is a practical starting choice if you prefer solo progression. Its ranged attacks help you avoid damage and reduce potion use while farming. Acolyte suits players who want to heal and support parties, while Swordsman offers greater survivability during close-range encounters. Mage, Thief, and Merchant provide more specialized approaches for elemental damage, fast melee attacks, or crafting.
After choosing, follow the recommended stat and skill assignments until you understand your role. Base Levels provide points for attributes such as STR, INT, VIT, and DEX, while Job Levels award Skill Points for your class abilities.
Follow the Main Quest and Plan Your Upgrades
The Main Quest should guide your early progression because it provides experience, equipment, and access to new systems. When a level requirement pauses the story, complete Daily Commissions or farm monsters close to your level.
Elemental weaknesses can shorten these farming sessions. Water attacks work well against Fire monsters, for example, while quickly defeating slightly weaker targets can produce better results than fighting tougher enemies slowly. Party farming also helps you handle elite monsters and conserve your limited Combat Time.
Keep your equipment investment focused on one primary build. Upgrade the weapon and accessories that support your main skills, fill all five Feather slots before pursuing expensive improvements, and select cards that increase your effectiveness against current targets.
Joining a guild will then open cooperative activities, guild bonuses, and shops containing additional progression materials.
