Core Mechanics You Need to Know

Before looking at individual character rankings, it’s important to understand how combat works:

3-Row Formation System

Team positioning directly affects your characters’ performance.

Positioning mistakes can reduce a character’s effectiveness. Placing a fragile wizard in the front row, for example, usually results in quick defeats.

Elemental Reactions

Combat revolves around seven different elements: Fire, Nature, Radiance, Chaos, Shock, Frost, and Holy. Most elemental matchups provide either a 30% damage bonus or a 30% damage penalty.

Lost Sword rewards players who combine crowd control with reaction damage. A typical team usually consists of:

• A Driver, who applies status effects such as Freeze, Burn, or Stun.
• A Reaction DPS, who deals increased damage against affected targets.

Instead of selecting five characters with high attack stats, focus on creating synergies between status effects and damage dealers.

1. Tiamat 

Role: Main Magic DPS

Element: Chaos / Holy

Tiamat currently sits at the top of the damage rankings. Her greatest strength comes from her Doom Goddess transformation, which significantly boosts her spell damage while applying powerful self-enhancement effects. What makes Tiamat valuable is her ability to eliminate entire enemy groups without relying on team support.

Strengths:

• Exceptional area-of-effect damage
• Outstanding late-game scaling
• Strong performance in raids and campaign stages

Recommended position: Middle Row

2. Galahad 

Role: Tank / Support

Element: Radiance

Every successful team needs a reliable frontline, and Galahad fills that role perfectly. She doesn’t simply absorb damage. She also provides temporary damage immunity and increases the offensive potential of allied damage dealers. Her utility makes her valuable in virtually every game mode.

Strengths:

• Excellent survivability
• Team-wide defensive abilities
• Valuable offensive buffs

3. NEO Bedivere

Role: Hybrid DPS / Healer

Element: Holy

NEO Bedivere is one of the most versatile characters currently available. She combines crowd control, healing, and damage into a single package. Her abilities can root enemies in place while simultaneously increasing your team’s critical hit rate. Because her healing scales with damage dealt, she can support the team while continuing to contribute as a DPS.

Strengths:

• Flexible positioning

• Self-sustaining healing

4. Isolde 

Role: Dedicated Healer

Element: Holy

If your goal is to beat difficult raids or challenging story stages, Isolde should be one of your first picks. Her Ultimate can instantly restore the entire team’s health while also applying defensive buffs that reduce incoming damage. Many endgame activities become significantly easier with Isolde in the team.

5. Vivien 

Role: Buffer

Element: Radiance

Some support characters simply keep your team alive. Vivien does much more than that: Her critical damage buffs can dramatically increase your team’s offensive power, transforming strong damage dealers into ruthless boss killers. She pairs exceptionally well with Tiamat and other high-damage units.

1. Perma-Freeze Team (Campaign & PvP)

Merlin continuously applies Freeze effects while Catherine takes advantage of reaction damage. Galahad protects the frontline, and the two support units help long-term survivability.

2. High-Burst Stun Team (Boss Encounters)

This composition focuses on quickly applying Stun effects and then unleashing amplified burst damage during enemy vulnerability windows.

Starting with an S-tier character can save you weeks of progression.

1. Create a Guest Account: Launch the game and choose Guest Login. Avoid linking your account immediately.
2. Complete the Tutorial: Progress through the opening chapters until the summoning system becomes available.
3. Claim Rewards: Open your mailbox and collect launch rewards, event rewards, and beginner gifts. 
4. Summon: Focus on obtaining one of these characters: Tiamat, Galahad, or Vivien.
5. Reset if Needed: If you cannot get an S-Tier character, go to Settings – Account – Delete Account / Clear App Data and repeat the entire process.
