One of the biggest advantages of playing Fate/Grand Order (FGO) on the English server is being able to plan ahead. Because the English version generally follows content introduced in Japan later, future banners can often be anticipated well before they arrive. That makes Saint Quartz (SQ) management much easier, provided you resist the temptation to spend everything whenever an attractive Servant appears.
We prepared this FGO banner roadmap for 2026–2028 to help you: we will explain how pity system works, how to think about your yearly SQ budget, which types of future Servants deserve the most attention, and how to build a long-term saving plan.
FGO Pity System Explained
Before planning your future summons, understand the one number that matters most: 900 SQ. On eligible limited-time banners featuring a rate-up SSR, the first copy of the featured SSR is guaranteed by the 330th summon if you haven’t obtained that rate-up SSR beforehand.
Reaching 330 summons requires 900 SQ, because the free summon obtained during multi-summon cycles contributes to the total. This is the number you should use when planning for a Servant you absolutely cannot afford to miss.
Pity Does Not Carry Between Banners
There is an important limitation: your pity progress does not transfer to another banner. Starting to save 300 SQ on one banner and then switching to a different banner doesn’t preserve those summons. The counter is tied to the individual eligible banner and resets when you obtain the featured SSR. This makes banner discipline extremely important.
How Much Free SQ Can You Get?
There isn’t a fixed amount of SQ that every F2P Master receives each year. Your total depends on how consistently you complete events, missions, login rewards, story content, and other available sources.
A reasonable long-term planning model is to treat your yearly resources as a large but finite budget rather than assuming you’ll always have enough for every banner.

These figures are planning estimates rather than guaranteed yearly payouts. A player who clears more content and takes advantage of additional campaigns can end up above the estimate, while a less active account may earn considerably less.
If you want to guarantee several high-priority Servants, treat 900 SQ per target as your safest worst-case budget. Saving significantly more than that gives you flexibility when multiple desirable banners arrive close together.
FGO Banner Roadmap: 2026 to 2028
This banner roadmap should be seen as a planning tool, not a promise. Banner timing can change, reruns can move, and the English server can occasionally deviate from the expected schedule. The safest approach is to divide upcoming banners into three categories: must-pull, high priority, and luxury.
2026: Current Meta and High-Priority Servants
The 2026 schedule has already brought several major additions and story developments to the English version, including powerful new Servants connected to the anniversary and Ordeal Call content.
Alessandro di Cagliostro
- Class: Pretender
- Priority: High
Cagliostro is a strong candidate for players who value Arts-based farming and flexible class utility. His potential appeal comes from being useful across repeated farming scenarios rather than being restricted to one narrow niche.
Space Ereshkigal
- Class: Beast
- Priority: Must-Pull for Many Accounts
Space Ereshkigal is one of the standout recent additions and has the unusual appeal of a Beast-class offensive profile combined with powerful AoE capabilities. For players interested in both farming and flexible damage coverage, she’s the kind of Servant worth planning around rather than treating as an impulse pull.
BB (Dubai)
- Class: Moon Cancer
- Priority: High
BB (Dubai) is another major 2026 target, particularly for players interested in the newer systems and team-building possibilities associated with the later-story content. Her value is less about replacing every existing farmer and more about adding another powerful option to an already developed roster.
Kazuradrop
- Class: Alter Ego
- Priority: Medium
Kazuradrop is best viewed as a specialized investment than an account-wide requirement. Her utility can be attractive for players who enjoy experimenting with unusual team compositions and Extra-class matchups. Unless she fills a specific weakness in your roster, she should generally sit below your essential support targets.
2027: Prepare for New Endgame Systems
The 2027 period should be approached differently from a conventional banner list. Story progression and Ordeal Call-related content are likely to influence which Servants become valuable, and new 90+ or 90++ farming options can change the value of older damage dealers.
High-difficulty story content increasingly rewards specialized teams rather than one universal farming composition. This means that the best 2027 targets may include:
- High-end support Servants that enable existing damage dealers.
- Flexible Extra-class attackers that can handle irregular enemy formations.
- 90++ specialists with strong batteries, card-based damage, or unusual class advantages.
Anniversary periods deserve special attention because they frequently introduce Servants with long-term value. Rather than spending heavily on every banner beforehand, keeping a reserve for the anniversary is one of the safest strategies for players who don’t yet know which future Servants they want.
2028: Save for the Next Generation
Planning two years ahead is inherently less precise. By 2028, some currently dominant farming systems may no longer be the most efficient way to approach new content. That makes flexible SQ reserves even more valuable.
Potential high-priority releases from this period may include powerful boss killers, new class-specific specialists, and Servants designed around the requirements of increasingly difficult farming nodes.
Examples from the projected roadmap include Hassan-i-Sabbah (Azrael) for single-target boss encounters and future Berserker or Moon Cancer attackers aimed at irregular 90++ farming. Treat these longer-range targets as possibilities rather than guaranteed pulls. Your final decision should depend on how the game and your own roster have developed by then.
Saint Quartz Saving Rules
- Rule 1: Skip Story Summons
Don’t spend SQ casually on banners without a specific rate-up target. Your resources are much more valuable when concentrated on limited banners featuring Servants you actually want.
- Rule 2: Use the 900 SQ Rule
For every actual must-pull, assume the worst case. If you don’t have at least 900 SQ available, you are not fully protected against bad luck on an eligible pity banner. This doesn’t mean you can never roll with less. It means you should understand that you’re accepting the possibility of leaving without your target.
- Rule 3: Supports Usually Come First
A great DPS may dominate one category, but a great support can improve an entire account. When choosing between a Servant who clears one type of content slightly faster and a support who enables dozens of compositions, the support is usually the safer long-term investment.
- Rule 4: Keep Paid SQ for GSSR
Guaranteed SSR (GSSR) campaigns provide one of the best uses for paid Saint Quartz. Instead of spending paid SQ impulsively on normal banners, reserve it for Guaranteed Summon campaigns, particularly those held around major annual celebrations. The guaranteed SSR makes these banners far less risky than ordinary summoning.
- Rule 5: Don’t Chase NP Levels Without a Reason
Getting one copy of a Servant is very different from deliberately pursuing NP2, NP3, or higher. Unless a Servant’s gameplay specifically benefits from additional NP levels or you’re intentionally investing in a favorite, consider stopping after your first copy. Extra copies can consume hundreds of SQ that could instead secure another future target.
The biggest advantage of a long-term FGO banner roadmap isn’t knowing the exact date of every future summon. It’s knowing which banners deserve your resources before they arrive. Use 900 SQ as the worst-case budget for a genuine must-pull, protect your reserves for major anniversary and limited banners, and prioritize Servants that expand your account rather than simply duplicating a role you already cover.
Most importantly, don’t treat a roadmap as a reason to summon blindly. Save first, rank your targets, and roll according to a plan. In FGO, the player who can skip ten tempting banners without spending is often in a much stronger position when the one Servant they truly want finally arrives.
