With Aniimo now available on mobile alongside PC and console, players across Idyll have a growing roster of creatures to catch, evolve, and build into their ideal team. The game launched with a surprisingly broad selection of Aniimo, covering five major combat roles: DPS, Break, Support, Heal, and Regen.
Not every powerful Aniimo is good at the same job, however. A creature with enormous Break potential should not be judged against a healer by the same standards. This tier list therefore focuses primarily on how effectively each Aniimo performs its intended role, while also considering useful skills, team utility, and accessibility.

Best DPS Aniimo
DPS Aniimo are your primary damage dealers. They are especially important for boss fights, difficult combat encounters, and situations where quickly eliminating a target matters more than sustained defensive utility.
1. Pawney
- Element: Dark
Pawney stands out for its combination of high Attack and strong defensive stats, making it unusually capable of dealing damage without feeling excessively fragile. Its biggest advantage is consistency. Rather than relying entirely on a complicated setup, Pawney can provide dependable damage throughout a fight, which makes it an excellent centerpiece for teams that need a straightforward carry. The main drawback is availability: Pawney evolves from Helmut, so obtaining the finished creature can take significantly more effort than catching an early-game DPS.
2. Scorchhowl
- Element: Fire
Scorchhowl is one of the strongest straightforward damage dealers in the launch roster. Its combination of Attack and defensive stats allows it to contribute reliable damage without requiring a particularly complicated team setup. That makes it especially appealing to players who want a powerful DPS without having to build the entire party around a niche mechanic.
3. Thornblade
- Element: Grass
Thornblade is one of the most attractive damage options for players who want something powerful without waiting until the later regions. It has strong Attack and useful regeneration characteristics, giving it more staying power than a typical glass-cannon DPS. Its counter-oriented combat style can also reward players who learn enemy attack patterns. Thornblade can be found in the Sea of Flowers at roughly Lv. 19–28, making it one of the strongest early-to-mid-game DPS choices.
4. Ignitis
- Element: Dark
Ignitis is another strong offensive option with excellent damage potential. Its value comes primarily from its high offensive stats and a kit capable of producing substantial burst damage. It is quite useful once you start moving into content where simply surviving is no longer enough and you need to eliminate targets quickly.
5. Fulmintis
- Element: Lightning
Fulmintis deserves special mention because it does not fit neatly into a simple “low-tier DPS” description. Its 130 Attack is the highest base Attack value at the moment, and its kit has several mechanics that encourage critical-hit and Energy-based play. Its Electro Stash trait restores Energy when a skill scores a critical hit, while its Lightning Rush attack can build consecutive slashes before unleashing a stronger finisher. Fulmintis can also apply Paralysis through critical hits with Lightning Blade Impact, giving it additional utility beyond raw damage.
Best Breaker Aniimo
Breakers specialize in damaging enemy Guard and creating windows where bosses and other tough targets become vulnerable. This role is very important against encounters where raw DPS is less useful until the target’s defenses have been broken.
1. Magmarex
- Element: Fire/Rock
Magmarex currently stands out as one of the strongest dedicated Breakers. Its high HP and Break-oriented stat profile give it the durability needed to remain active during difficult encounters, while its skills contribute substantial Break damage. Rather than judging it by normal damage output, consider Magmarex as the creature that creates the opening for the rest of your team.
2. Pomawk
- Element: Grass
Pomawk combines strong Break performance with useful regeneration characteristics. Its value becomes especially obvious during longer fights where you need to repeatedly pressure an enemy’s Guard without sacrificing too much of your own survivability. Pomawk is also a useful alternative for teams that do not have access to Magmarex.
3. Minespine
- Element: Rock
Minespine is another excellent choice when Break damage is the priority. Its combination of HP and Break-focused stats lets it perform reliably against durable enemies, while its evolution from Geodeback gives players a natural progression route toward the finished form. This is the sort of Aniimo that becomes more valuable the harder the content gets.
4. Rookey
- Element: Dark
Rookey offers more than straightforward Guard damage. It combines useful Break capability with utility that can benefit exploration and broader gameplay, making it one of the more versatile Breakers in the roster. Rookey is a strong choice for players who want combat performance plus general-purpose utility.
Best Support Aniimo
Support creatures improve the rest of the team rather than carrying fights through raw damage. This makes them important when building elemental teams or trying to maximize the performance of a favorite DPS.
1. Luminelle
- Element: Lightning
Luminelle is one of the strongest team-oriented creatures available at launch. Its skill set focuses on improving the effectiveness of allies rather than simply dealing damage itself. This makes it very powerful when paired with a Lightning-focused DPS such as Fulmintis. Its value is also not restricted to one specific attack type. Team-wide effects can improve overall performance, allowing Luminelle to remain useful even when your lineup evolves.
2. Tromber
- Element: Wind
Tromber is an excellent general-purpose support option. Its appeal comes from its team-focused effects, allowing it to contribute to the performance of other Aniimo rather than relying on personal damage. This makes Tromber useful in teams that need additional consistency and utility, especially when your main DPS already has enough offensive power.
3. Piopiota
- Element: Water
Piopiota is another strong team-oriented support that can fit into Water-focused or mixed-element compositions. It is quite useful when you want your support slot to contribute meaningful team effects rather than simply provide defensive recovery. Its combination of role utility and accessibility also makes it a sensible alternative when Luminelle does not fit your composition.
Best Healer Aniimo
Healers occupy a much smaller portion of the roster than DPS or Breakers, which makes a reliable healing option especially valuable.
1. Gracewing
- Element: Wind
Gracewing is arguably the most flexible healer currently available. Its defining trait allows it to remain useful even while off the field. When other Aniimo cast Skills or Ultimates, Gracewing can restore HP to allies, meaning it continues contributing without permanently occupying the active slot. Its kit also includes debuff removal and EP recovery, which makes Gracewing more than a simple emergency healer.
2. Glacy
- Element: Water/Ice
Glacy is one of the best accessible alternatives to Gracewing. Its biggest advantage is availability. It can be found relatively early in Nimbus Fields, making it possible to obtain a dependable healer without waiting for much later areas. For newer players, that accessibility can matter more than chasing a theoretically stronger creature that takes much longer to obtain.
3. Pranky
- Element: Water
Pranky is a useful early healer that can help fill the role before stronger options become available. It does not offer the same overall utility as Gracewing, but having a dedicated source of healing can make difficult early encounters substantially easier. Treat Pranky as a stepping stone rather than a unit you necessarily need to build around forever.
Best Regen Aniimo
Regen is a distinct role focused on Energy regeneration and long-term team sustainability. Unlike a traditional healer, a Regen Aniimo helps the rest of the team use skills more frequently, which can be just as important during long fights.
1. Erlath
- Element: Water
Erlath is one of the strongest options for teams that depend heavily on Energy. Its high Regen profile allows it to support repeated skill usage, making it especially valuable for compositions where your damage or utility comes from frequent ability casts. Erlath also has strong exploration utility, including a high-level movement ability, giving it value outside combat.
2. Somniwing
- Element: Wind/Grass
Somniwing is built around solving one of the most common problems in long battles: running out of Energy. Its role is less about directly increasing damage and more about enabling your entire team to use expensive abilities more consistently. That becomes especially valuable when paired with high-output DPS creatures whose strongest attacks have significant Energy costs.
3. Leafy
- Element: Grass/Water
Leafy is a dependable alternative for players who need additional Energy support but do not have access to Erlath or Somniwing. It provides useful regeneration-oriented utility and can fit naturally into Grass- and Water-oriented compositions. Leafy may not be as explosive as the strongest Regen options, but it is a reliable team-support creature.
The current Aniimo meta is still too new to have a truly permanent hierarchy, but one thing is already clear: the strongest teams are not necessarily built from the creatures with the biggest numbers.
For new players, the smartest approach is not to chase every creature sitting at the top of a tier list. Build around roles first, synergy second, and individual rankings third. In other words, the best Aniimo is often not the creature at the top of the list: It is the creature that makes the rest of your team work better.
