Daybreak Game has had a really rough few years since separating from Sony. First, long-time CEO John Smedly left the company, followed by EverQuest Next getting cancelled, and more recently the collapse of the esports league for H1Z1. It seems like Daybreak couldn’t catch a break (grins) after going independent. Recently, the internet community spotted a new trademark filing by the developer for PlanetSide Arena, and rumors begin to spread about a battle royale game based on the PlanetSide IP. There is no official statement from Daybreak Game, and the only details available are from the online document. Stay tuned!
