Luminous Studio – New live edit videos impresses

We all have read about the upcoming Unreal Engine 4, and how it is going to take game graphics to the next level. In Japan, Square Enix is also brewing its own next-gen game engine, Luminous Studio. The trailer above, Agni’s Philosophy, was revealed a few months ago and purely made from this engine. 2 new live edit videos popped up in the Japanese media, which showcases some of the feats Luminous Studio can achieve.
 

Do note that while Luminous Studio is more or less confirmed for a future Final Fantasy game, it is unknown if Square Enix will be licensing it to other developers for making PC games or MMORPGs. Still, the future for realistic gaming is bright 🙂 Watch the tech presentation slides here!
