The Brawl Stars Championship 2027 will reshape Supercell’s esports circuit around regional leagues and promotion battles. The first look at the new format confirms two competitive levels, two 12-week splits, and separate international events for the middle and end of the season.
Supercell is still working on some parts of the structure, so details may change before competition begins. However, the broader route from open qualifiers to the Brawl Stars World Finals is already taking shape.
Brawl Stars Championship 2027 Introduces Two Competitive Levels
The competition will be divided into Top Level and Challengers. These tiers remain connected through promotion and relegation, which gives successful Challenger teams a chance to move into the main regional leagues.
Top Level will feature eight teams in each of four regions: East Asia, EMEA, South America, and North America. Mainland China will remain part of the Brawl Stars Championship, although its regional format will be revealed separately.
Challengers will cover 12 regions and provide a more open starting point for new teams. Players will move from Open Qualifiers into league competition, Playoffs, and Challengers Finals. The strongest teams can then face lower-ranked Top Level opponents for promotion.

Each Split Leads to a Major International Event
Each top-level split will run for 12 weeks. Competition starts with a round-robin Group Stage, where all eight regional teams play against one another. The leading teams advance to the Mid-Season Playoffs before Group Stage 2 and the Regional Playoffs decide the international qualifiers.
Split 1 concludes with the Brawl Cup, a three-day international LAN tournament planned for June. Its winner will earn an additional World Finals place for its region. This reward expands the successful region’s representation later in the year rather than automatically sending the Brawl Cup champion to the World Finals.
Split 2 follows the same 12-week regional structure and ends at the Brawl Stars World Finals. The Challengers Finals held alongside this part of the season will also decide which teams earn promotion and begin 2028 in Top Level.
Teams promoted after the first split will enter Top Level for Split 2. From there, they can pursue qualification for the next international tournament through the main league.
How Teams Enter the 2027 Top Level
The first Top Level lineup will be based on results from the 2026 season and an additional qualification event. Supercell aims to hold an online regional invitational after the 2026 World Finals, with January currently listed as the likely period.
Invitations, roster rules, and the effect of player transfers are still under development. Once the first lineup has been selected, Challengers will become the main route into Top Level.
The provisional calendar currently points to these periods:
- January: Online regional invitational for the first Top Level lineup
- May: Regional Challengers events
- June: Brawl Cup
- Later in the year: Split 2 and the Brawl Stars World Finals
These are planning windows rather than final event dates. Exact days, broadcast times, and locations will be shared closer to each stage.
The Last Chance Qualifier Is Leaving the Calendar
The Last Chance Qualifier will be removed from the Brawl Stars Championship 2027. Supercell believes the redesigned circuit makes the extra qualifier unnecessary, so it plans to shift the LCQ’s investment and tournament hype toward promotion and relegation.
This change places more pressure on regional league results. Top Level teams near the bottom of the standings must defend their places, while Challenger teams can earn promotion through sustained results across their own season.
The Challengers promotion tournament only awards a place in the main league. It does not provide immediate entry into the international event from the same split. Promoted teams must compete in the following Top Level split to reach the next Brawl Cup or World Finals.
Club Partners and Third-Party Tournaments Will Expand
The Club Partner Program will continue as a revenue-sharing agreement between Supercell and selected esports organizations. Supercell considers each organization’s audience, fan engagement, regional relevance, history in other games, and long-term commitment to Brawl Stars.
Also, partner status will not provide an advantage in the competition or guarantee a Top Level place. Every organization will still need to qualify through the same competitive structure.
Supercell also plans to offer stronger support for third-party tournament organizers. These events could provide more competition during gaps in the official calendar, although individual tournaments and dates have yet to be announced.

Several major details remain under wraps, including the total prize pool, international team counts, tournament locations, and complete slot distribution. Supercell also has more information to share about the 12 Challengers regions and Mainland China’s route into international play.
Even with those gaps, the Brawl Stars Championship 2027 already has a clear foundation. Regional leagues will run for longer, Challenger teams will have a direct path upward, and promotion battles will affect who competes at the highest level from one split to the next.
