Square Enix is really trying hard to capture the mobile gaming market in Japan, having launched new games almost on a monthly basis. Servant of Thrones is the company’s latest attempt to get some domestic market share of the mobile trading card game genre, which has apparently been dominated by Hearthstone. Set to launch this winter, the artwork for the cards in Servant of Thrones boast a world-class pedigree of Asian artists.
Some of the big names include Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy fame), Kim Hyung-tae (Blade & Soul fame), Yuji Himukai (Etrian Odyssey series), and Toi. While Square Enix has yet to showcase any gameplay for Servant of Thrones, we can actually see that the card designs are somewhat familiar when compared to Hearthstone’s. There are also 7 heroes players can choose to start with. Stay tuned for more info when the gameplay is revealed!
