Formerly known as Codename C during the Technical Test period in China, developer Shengqu Games recently revealed the action mobile game’s full title – Castlevania: Moon Night Rhapsody (loosely translated from 月夜狂想曲). Similar to most IP-based games these days, this Castlevania mobile title is officially licensed from the owner, Konami Digital Entertainment. Castlevania: Moon Night Rhapsody is still in development, with more tests coming this year. This game will likely remain in China and not see any overseas launch.
The story of Castlevania: Moon Night Rhapsody takes place 100 years after Alucard and Richter Belmont have defeated Dracula and his demon horde. Within this hundred years, there have been times when Dracula was summoned, but humanity withstood all these tests. Now, the Belmont name has faded into obscurity, with the Morris family unable to unlock the powers of the Vampire Killer entrusted to them.
