Over the week, we managed to find another indie gem to try out. This is Punishing: Gravy Raven, a mobile action RPG currently in-development by Chinese studio Kuro Game. At first look, the anime-style design might warrant some comparison with games such as Honkai Impact or even Soulworker, though gameplay-wise it is closer to the former. We tried out the Closed Beta test for a short while, and you can have a better look at Punishing: Gravy Raven below. Interestingly, all playable characters are actually robots created by humans!
Many years ago (2079 to be exact), technology was at its peak and humans started inserting computer chips into their bodies for a better way of life. Robots were created for support as well. However, a virus infected most of humanity via the chips and the robots too. The infected started mutating, and the surviving humans had to flee to a colony in space. Now, having created “reconstructed soldiers”, humanity sent them to Earth’s surface in the hopes of reclaiming their lands and rebuild civilization. If only it was that easy…
