The South Korean gaming media reported earlier today that Nexon Thailand has signed a publishing deal with Actozsoft, the parent company of developer Eyedentity Games, to launch World of Dragon Nest in the Southeast Asia region. The countries included in this publishing deal are Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. First announced 3 years ago in 2016, World of Dragon Nest then went silent until ChinaJoy 2017 where it was revealed to support cross-platform play for both PC and mobile devices.
Note: Please read this interview from 2017. We do not currently know what has changed since then. Please wait for more news from Nexon Thailand!
However, cross-platform function was not mentioned in this latest press release, which could mean that World of Dragon Nest is possibly now a pure mobile title. Other than players having the freedom to “combine 20 different skills to attack”, no other details of the game was revealed. It is a surprise that there is no new screenshot or teaser trailer. It remains to be seen what has changed since the 2016 trailer shown above. Nexon Thailand plans to launch World of Dragon Nest in the 2nd half of the year. Stay tuned for updates!
