[Source] What an end to 2015! First, Red 5 Studios missed payroll on Christmas Day itself (and also sacked folks), and its China parent company boasted about giving millions away to players. Yesterday, it was announced Red 5 Studios will “undergo reorganization and resource optimization efforts in order to secure our direction to meet the market needs of China and other Asian countries.”
There is no word on how the “reorganization” will be carried out, but I presume it involves the sacking of people and brining on board useless China executives. It might mean hasta la vista to the Western market, as the team is now solely focused on the supposedly lucrative Asian markets. Must be a pretty big kick in the nuts for those who have supported Firefall for the past few traumatic years.
