PlanetSide 2 – Massive online shooter shutting down in China this May

Publisher The9 recently announced it will not be extending PlanetSide 2‘s contract, and the game will shut down on 31 May. Launching back in 2013, there weren’t many content updates despite The9 spending millions on marketing, even hiring Didier Drogba as spokesperson at one time. It seems The9 will be putting all resources into launching Firefall China, though still with no fixed launch date.

Hoo, they sure put high stakes on FF.
And why not, it could work.
FF ain’t a bad game, it has it’s charm.

Dont know what the publisher did for CN server. This game have like a constant updates for international server so if there was no update on CN server it’s mostly the fault of the publisher. Made us wonder if they gonna do the same thing for their other games.
