According to a foreign report, the Korean server for Monster Hunter Frontier will be closed in the near future. NHN Korea confirmed that the publishing rights will not be renewed and details are still being sorted out. The company will not be in a rush to close the server and will officially announce it soon after players’ compensation packages are confirmed. A brief history on Monster Hunter Frontier, it first first into the scene in Japan during June 2007, followed by the Korean server starting in August 2008. Despite a server-busting start, the number of players soon dwindled as most are not used to the control system. In 2009, NHN Korea changed the game into a Free to Play one.
