Following its recent Japanese adventure, Tencent has once again shifted its eyes to Europe and announced a USD 260 million investment in Czech Republic-based games developer, Bohemia Interactive. You might not have heard of this studio, but it created notable titles such as the ARMA series and DayZ. With the China government implementing stricter game laws, Tencent aims to fast-track its overseas business as gaming contributed 31% of its Q1 2020 revenue. Tencent is also set to purchase Funcom. Tencent declined to comment, while Bohemia didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from the article source.
