At the annual Korea Game Awards just a few hours ago, an event which happens before the day G*Star begins, NCsoft’s Blade & Soul won the prestigious Presidential Award (similar to Game of the Year). This is the 3rd NCsoft MMO in recent years to nab this award, joining Lineage 2 and Aion. Blade & Soul also won 3 other major awards as well. Excellence Award (PC/ Video game) – DJMAX Technica Tune (published by Neowiz Mobile)
Excellence Award (Online game) – Embrace the Three Kingdoms (developed by Ndoors)
Technical (Creative game planning) – Embrace the Three Kingdoms (developed by Ndoors)

In a rare appearance by industry standards, NCsoft’s CEO (right, above) appeared at the event and gave a speech. Prior to that, industry folks were apparently speculating if the media shy boss will appear. He shared the same table with Nexon’s CEO (left, below).
