After a couple rounds of Closed Beta testing in North America, developer Nintendo today announced that Mario Kart Tour will officially launch on 25 September next month! Since we are able to pre-register on the App Store from Asia, it is presume that the launch will indeed be a global one. Featuring most of your favorite characters from the Super Mario franchise, Mario Kart Tour is no doubt going to be the hottest casual game this Autumn! I do wonder if we will get to see the oddball characters like Wario and Waluigi… Hopefully!

Mario and friends go global in this new Mario Kart as they race around courses inspired by real-world cities in addition to classic Mario Kart courses! These destinations will be featured in tours that rotate every two weeks! In addition to courses based on iconic locales, some of your favorite Mario Kart characters will get variations that incorporate the local flavor of cities featured in the game!
