[Full article] Speaking to Polygon, Blizzard co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime, together with senior vice president of story and franchise development, Chris Metzen, a confirmation for the cancellation of Project Titan was made official. After 7 years in development, the huge project is now closed.
A major reason given is the success and popularity of smaller launches, such as Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, which makes Project Titan a burden on resources. For now, Blizzard will not be re-visiting the MMORPG realm, but will instead work on supporting World of Warcraft.
