According to several Korean games website and Archlord II’s official forums, Webzen is being slammed by the community after the recent PvP content update, where the top 60 players in PvP gather to fight for the titular “Archlord” position.
It appears that the new mode is simply a free-for-all with 1 winner, not taking into account the storyline of the 2 war between Human and Orc. Players are upset that suggestions to improve this feature are not heard, and the massive lagging issues remain unsolved since Open Beta started last September.
To make things worse, Archlord II merged servers just 1 month after Open Beta, with only 2 game servers now. However, players are still complaining that there are too few players to form parties, needing an average of 30 minutes to do so.
Archlord II recently had a mini-scandal as well involving cash items and giving massive bonuses and priority to those who purchased them, leading to a public outcry and forcing Webzen to fix the feature. Archlord II is set to launch for the global English market this year after the closure of Archlord.
