[Game website] Mainly just a PSA (public service announcement), Trion’s latest MMORPG, Defiance, will be going live next week on 2nd April 2013. For those who are worrying about the business model, it is be buy-to-play (B2P), with no monthly subscription.
Defiance will be playable on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but there will be no cross-platform functionality. What is Defiance? Just in case you are wondering, it is no an open world FPS 🙂
Well, it is an open world, futuristic MMORPG where players are Ark Hunters, working for a big corporation to recover alien stuff and of course, kill them. Right on Earth. Dynamic events, PvP, raids, weapons customizations… Almost everything you expect will be there.
There are quit a couple of different versions for purchase, each with its own perks. The most expensive package will be GameStop’s exclusive Ultimate Edition (USD 149.99), which comes with an extra gun and vehicle. Ready to slay even more aliens?
