In MAJO – Apocalypse Tactics RPG, you take on the role of the Observer, commanding a squad of powerful Witches tasked with repairing reality itself. Through dimensional fractures, your team must track down and eliminate anomalies that threaten the stability of multiple worlds.
Although the combat system is not hard to understand, MAJO hides a surprising amount of depth beneath. Team composition, positioning, resource management, and skill timing all have a major impact on your progression. Investing in the wrong units or misunderstanding the combat mechanics can slow your advancement.

This beginner’s guide explains everything you need to know, including rerolling, team building, combat mechanics, progression priorities, and advanced squad strategies.
1. Fast Reroll Guide & Launch Tier List
Like many gacha RPGs, your starting characters can significantly influence your early experience. MAJO – Apocalypse Tactics RPG supports guest accounts, making rerolling a simple process.
- Start with a Guest Account: When launching the game for the first time, select Guest Login. Avoid linking your account to Google, Facebook, or email services until you’re happy with your summons.
- Finish the Tutorial: Complete Chapters 1-1 through 1-3. Skip story scenes and dialogue to speed up the process.
- Collect All Available Rewards: Once you unlock the main lobby, open your mailbox, check the Events tab, claim pre-registration rewards, and collect free Witch Contracts & Omen Stones.
- Complete Your Summons: Use your resources wisely: Spend standard Witch Contracts on the Beginner Banner. Save Omen Stones for the current Limited Banner.
- Keep or Reset: If you’re satisfied with your pulls, link your account. If you get bad pulls: Go to “Settings – Account – Delete Account / Reset Data” and repeat the entire process.
Early Game Tier List
| Tier | Class | Role |
| S+ | Amplification | Primary Single-Target DPS |
| S+ | Enhancement | Buffer and Cooldown Support |
| S | Infiltration | Frontline Shield-Breaker |
| S | Block | Tank and Area Taunt |
| A | Enhancement | Healer and Utility |
- The Best Roll: 1x S+ Tier Amplification Witch + 1x S+ Tier Enhancement Witch. This gives you a top-tier damage dealer and a very strong buffer right at the beginning of the game.
- The Safe Roll: 1x S+ Tier Witch (either Amplification or Enhancement) + 1x S Tier Infiltration Witch.

2. Learn the Core Combat Mechanics
Combat in MAJO – Apocalypse Tactics RPG revolves around three defensive and offensive systems: Dodging, Blocking, and Knockdowns.
- Understand the Posture Bar: Every enemy has a “Posture Bar” beneath its health meter. Repeated attacks and certain abilities reduce this bar. Once it’s depleted, the enemy enters a Knockdown state.
- Save Your Strongest Abilities: Knocked-down enemies become vulnerable. Instead of using your strongest attacks in the beginning, wait until the enemy falls into a Knockdown state. Bosses can lose enormous amounts of health during these damage windows.
- Use Extreme Skills Strategically: As the battle continues, your Witches fill their “Extreme Bar”. Avoid activating Extreme Skills the moment they become available. Instead, use them when multiple enemies are grouped together, a boss enters a Knockdown state, or your support buffs are active.
- Don’t Waste Your Dodges: Red attack indicators signal powerful enemy abilities. Reserve your active dodges for these dangerous attacks rather than using them as a movement mechanic.
3. Build a Balanced Squad: Roles and Positioning
Team composition is one of the most important aspects of MAJO – Apocalypse Tactics RPG. Every Witch belongs to one of four combat roles:
| Role/Class | Function | Position |
| Block (Defender) | Absorbs damage | Frontline |
| Infiltration (Vanguard) | Breaks enemy defenses | Mid / Front |
| Amplification (Arcanist) | Deals burst damage | Mid / Flank |
| Enhancement (Supporter) | Provides healing and buffs | Backline |

Many beginners make the mistake of stacking damage dealers. A balanced composition usually produces much better results. For example, 1 Block + 1 Infiltration + 1 Amplification + 1 Enhancement is a composition that provides high survivability while maintaining solid damage output.
4. Skill Chaining and Team Synergy
High-level combat follows a simple pattern: Break – Amplify – Execute. Learning and using this sequence allows you to defeat enemies with significantly higher combat power.
- Step 1: Break: Your Infiltration Witch should attack first. Apply defense reductions, armor-breaking effects, and posture damage. Your Block Witch should use taunts to control enemy positioning.
- Step 2: Amplify: When an enemy’s Posture Bar drops below 15%, activate your support abilities with your Enhancement Witch. This timing ensures that your buffs remain active when the Knockdown happens.
- Step 3: Execute: Once the enemy falls, activate your Amplification Witch’s Extreme Skill, use your strongest abilities and chain your attacks together. This burst cycle is very effective against bosses.
Top Team Compositions
- The “Glass Cannon” Burst Team (2x Infiltration + 1x Amplification + 1x Enhancement): This setup sacrifices defense for faster Knockdowns and rapid stage clears. It is ideal for farming, timed missions, and experienced players.
- The “Unstoppable Wall” Turtle Team (1x Block + 1x Enhancement (Healer) + 1x Enhancement (Buffer) + 1x Amplification): This team focuses on shields, healing, and damage reduction. It’s very effective against difficult bosses.

5. Progression and Resource Management
- Focus on Four Core Witches: Resources are limited during the first few chapters. Avoid spreading your upgrades across your entire roster. Choose your primary team early and continue investing in those units until at least Chapter 4.
- Prioritize Soul Resonance: Soul Resonance provides some of the most valuable upgrades in the game. Always prioritize your primary damage dealer first. A heavily upgraded DPS can progress much faster than four partially upgraded characters.
- Be Careful with Equipment Upgrades: Don’t waste rare enhancement materials on temporary equipment. Only upgrade your gear enough to overcome your current progression. Save your best resources for later, to use on rare equipment.
6. Gacha & Currency Management
- Save Omen Stones for Limited Banners: Premium resources are extremely valuable. Poor spending habits can slow your progression. Don’t spend Omen Stones on stamina refills, standard banners or minor purchases. Instead, save them for Limited Banners.
- Always Summon in Groups of Ten: Whenever possible, wait until you have enough resources for a 10-pull. This helps you take advantage of guaranteed rates and bonus mechanics.
- Complete Every Daily Objective: Your daily routine should include story challenges, stage objectives, event missions, and mailbox rewards. Many players underestimate how many free Omen Stones they can accumulate simply by completing daily activities.

Don’t rush: MAJO – Apocalypse Tactics RPG rewards careful planning much more than raw combat power. Learning how your classes create synergy and mastering the Break – Amplify – Execute rotation will have a much greater impact on your progression than simply chasing the rarest characters.
