The Free Fire MAX India Cup 2026 Fall has completed its Group Stage, so the competition is now moving toward the Knockout Stage. Eighteen teams remain in contention after the latest round, and they will return on August 28 to compete for twelve places in the Grand Finals. The tournament is organized by Garena, carries the slogan “Forge Your Legacy,” and offers a total prize pool of ₹1 crore.
Eighteen Teams Advance From the Group Stage
The Group Stage began with 48 teams and ran from August 6 to 16. Six of those teams entered directly after finishing in the top six of the Spring event, while the remaining 42 earned their places through the Play-Ins.
During the first week, the 48 squads were divided into four groups of 12. Each group played six matches, and its top nine teams continued to the second week. From there, the remaining 36 teams were reorganized into three groups. The top six squads from each group moved forward, which created the 18-team Knockout field.
Teams earned one point for every elimination throughout this stage. Placement points ranged from 12 points for a Booyah to one point for tenth place, while the final two teams received no placement points. If two squads finished level, total Booyahs served as the first tiebreaker, followed by elimination points and the most recent best placement.
How the Knockout Stage Will Work
The Knockout Stage will run from August 28 to September 13. During its opening week, all 18 teams will play across three groups in a round-robin format. The schedule contains 18 matches, and each squad will participate in 12 of them.
The results will then separate the teams into four pools. The top 12 will enter the first session on September 4, where the leading two squads will qualify for the Grand Finals. The remaining teams will receive further opportunities on September 5 and 6, when the squads ranked 13th through 16th join the active field in stages.
The final Knockout week will take place from September 11 to 13. The remaining ten teams will be joined by the squads that originally placed 17th and 18th. After 18 more matches, the top six will claim the last available Grand Finals places.
Prize Pool and Champion Rush Grand Finals
The champion will receive ₹35 lakh from the ₹1 crore prize pool, while the runner-up will earn ₹17 lakh. Third place is worth ₹7 lakh, and placement rewards continue through all 18 Knockout teams. Garena has also set aside ₹1.5 lakh for the Grand Finals MVP and ₹10,000 for each Knockout Team of the Day.
The Grand Finals will bring together 12 teams across September 26 and 27. Point Rush will take place across six matches on September 26, which will allow the top six teams to earn Head Start Points. Champion Rush will follow at Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida on September 27. Once a team reaches 90 points, it becomes eligible to win and must secure a Booyah in a subsequent match to claim the title.
Matches will be shown on the official Free Fire MAX Esports India YouTube channel. You can also play Free Fire MAX on a PC or Mac with BlueStacks. A larger display can make enemy positions and team movement easier to follow, while keyboard and mouse controls provide another way to play between tournament broadcasts.
