Astrae Oratio is a Shindenki subculture RPG from Dynamis One, with NC handling publishing. The project was previously known as Project AT before its official title was revealed in April 2026. NC describes its central themes as magic and administration, which gives the game a rather unusual approach to the urban-fantasy formula.
Its story takes place in Tokyo in ’89, within an alternate world where magic forms part of everyday life. Players take the role of Shunin, an ordinary public official who becomes involved with the Special District Office and has to deal with the problems surrounding Tokyo’s magical society. That setup ties supernatural conflicts to the bureaucracy responsible for keeping them under control.
Gameplay footage has shown 3D turn-based battles, character skills, cinematic attack sequences, and story scenes. Later character footage also revealed more combat, everyday interactions, and scenario sequences, which suggests that character stories and relationships will play a substantial role alongside battles.
Tokyo Game Show 2026 Could Bring More News
Astrae Oratio is also scheduled to appear at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17 through September 21. NC has confirmed a dedicated presence for the game, so the event provides another opportunity for new gameplay details or announcements.
The timing is particularly useful for anyone following the release, since Tokyo Game Show takes place just before CBT recruitment ends. A release date announcement has not been promised for the event, though, so expectations should stay focused on whatever NC officially reveals.
