HYBE, the management company of global KPOP sensation BTS, recently announced that its new business arm HYBE IM (aka HYBE Interactive Media) has signed publishing contracts for 2 mobile titles from local developer MACOVILL. Founded in 2020, MACOVILL is best known for its work on Baby Shark Run Away. The 2 signed games include Project OZ (fantasy collectible RPG) and Project B (strategy simulation RPG). It was said that these 2 games will share a same worldview with a long-term IP goal in mind.
HYBE IM is not exactly new to the global mobile games publishing business, as it has so far launched 2 successful titles including BTS Island: In the SEOM and Rhythm Hive: Cheering Season. It seems that these new RPG titles would not have any trouble getting BTS to help promote them! Stay tuned for more updates.
