剑侠情缘R – The Return of Original Wuxia Online: 20 Years of Legend

剑侠情缘 is a series of martial arts video games launched since 1997, and in fact the first game is still recognized as the first digital RPG title in China. Created by Seasun (西山居) and published by long-time partner 金山软件 (Kingsoft), 剑侠情缘 has since seen several sequels launched over the years.

With this rich history of over 20 years, VNG Games is proud to announce that they are preparing to launch the original Simplified Chinese mobile version of the game, 剑侠情缘R, working closely with developer Seasun Games (西山居). Garnering millions of downloads in Viet Nam (since April) and China (since Oct), 剑侠情缘R has proved its appeal and quality at some of the most demanding community of players.

Jian Xia Qing Yuan R (剑侠情缘R) will be launched in Singapore and Malaysia in the near future.

If you did not know, the original PC MMORPG for 剑侠情缘 (JX1) was one of the most successful pioneers of the PC MMORPG genre in Southeast Asia, especially in Singapore and Malaysia, back there in the 2000s. Carry on that legend, 剑侠情缘R keeps all the exciting and favorite features while balancing the user experience on mobile platforms. In fact, the graphics also stay retro to invoke the nostalgia felt a few decades ago!

The story of 剑侠情缘 as a series has always stuck to a core plot which revolves around the war between the ancient China dynasties and neighbouring countries, and later moving deeper into martial arts lore involving different sects such as Shaolin, Kunlun, Beggar Sect, and many more which are playable in the series.

Jian Xia Qing Yuan R (剑侠情缘R) recreates many featured highlights from the classic JX series such as Song Jin Battlefield, Wuxing elements, free trading between players, and other unique copies and gameplay. The most intuitive of which is the 100% re-enactment of the game’s visuals. Players will be able to relive the heroic and enthusiastic memories in the world of swordsman love from the 2000s. There are many other intriguing subplots as well for players to discover!

Players can expect up to 10 playable sects (or classes) to choose from, each with its unique way of combat, weaponry, and beliefs. VNGGames has scheduled to launch the original Simplified Chinese mobile version of 剑侠情缘R in Singapore and Malaysia this festive season, so stay tuned for more updates and details as we go on a journey to ancient China!
