Back in October 2019, we first mentioned Ember Storm, a mobile MMORPG being developed in China based on the Bless Online IP from Neowiz. This is different from the Bless Mobile from Joycity. About 2 weeks ago, the game finally launched in China by Longtu Game, and it was revealed that the English name is Bless Eternal Mobile. Powered by Unreal Engine 4, we took a quick dive into the game!
Compared to the other versions of Bless Online on PC and mobile, nothing much has really changed at the core except for some storyline. Bless Eternal Mobile looks and feels like the original PC MMORPG, with tons of dialogue, quests, PVE dungeons, PVP battles, and perhaps more cosmetic stuff such as pets and mounts. We wouldn’t say that the game is in anyway “new,” but it does visually look stunning.
From what we have heard through the grapevines, Longtu Game is looking for publishing partners to launch Bless Eternal Mobile overseas. Personally, we feel that it is a big risk as the Bless IP technically is not really popular, and there are just too many mobile MMORPG titles right now with more big titles coming soon. Financially, it will certainly be a risk for any publisher to take on the duty. What do you think?
