I wasn’t planning to try out the beta phase of Re: Tree of Savior, but decided to give it a go after reading a number of comments. As usual, I spent about an hour in the game to see if it is exciting enough for me to encourage gamers to continue. Overall, I feel that Re: Tree of Savior has fallen into a lazy design cycle where the starting experience is all about killing X monsters.
Hear me out. Back then, there were mobile games which let players experience some high level content or PVP at the start, giving players motivation to grind and progress. If I might say, Re: Tree of Savior is even more boring than Spiritwish, at least for the start. By the first hour, I was expecting to be introduced to 3-4 features to be “wowed”, but that did not happen. Will players see otherwise when Nexon launches the global server?
