Thanks to a tip from our friend, we now know that Ntreev Soft is developing Trickster Mobile. Ntreev Soft is the Korean studio which made the PangYa golf series of PC and mobile games. NCsoft bought 76% of Ntreev Soft in 2012, but the studio hasn’t been able to churn out a successful global game since then. But before the deal, Ntreev Soft actually had PC MMORPG Trickster Online, which found a huge following in the global market. I am not sure what led to its closure, but a new mobile version is confirmed! There were a few mobile games based on Trickster Online, but none stuck to the original PC gameplay.
There are currently 4 job postings for different positions on Trickster Mobile, and the first 2 were actually posted late last year, followed by 2 new ones last month. The positions include a Server Developer, Operation Tools Developer, Original Background Artist, and Pixel Art Designer. The last position is particular interesting, as it requires someone with skills not only pixel art, but also Photoshop, Unity, and spine system (a feature which makes 2D art moves, popular in games such as Destiny Child). Stay tuned for updates!
