A couple of days back, Bethesda (which I absolutely hate and refuse to touch anything from them) announced on Reddit that it has stopped development for its competitive card game, The Elder Scrolls: Legends. To be exact, the developer is an outfit known as Sparkypants, Bethesda pulled the plug likely due to costs. The Elder Scrolls: Legends actually lasted for over 2 years, with 8 expansions launched on PC and mobile platforms.
If you did not already know, The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a collectible card game based on lore, creatures and characters found in The Elder Scrolls series. Bethesda stopped short of announcing a server closure date, but it is definitely inevitable. Stopping new content development “for the foreseeable future” is just pretentious, as expected of Bethesda these days. I would recommend players to try out The Elder Scrolls: Legends and record some videos before a closure notice is made in the near future. One of the worst modern studios!
