[Steam page] Developer 1047 Games recently announced that its unique first-person shooter, Splitgate: Arena Warfare, will launch as a Free-to-Play title on Windows PC via Steam on May 22, 2019. The game is a fast-paced, sci-fi, competitive multiplayer first-person shooter that uses player-controlled portals to create a new dimension of arena combat. Splitgate: Arena Warfare’s world-bending portal mechanic lets players instantly create and link gateways around the map, encouraging and rewarding jetpack-boosted movement, strategic flanking and ambushes, and action that embraces all 360 degrees.
Players can try Splitgate: Arena Warfare’s free beta right now on Steam for the weekend. Running until May 6, the beta features a variety of ranked, unranked and custom games. The game will launch with a vast array of customizable options, including weapon and armor skins, jetpacks, portal guns and more; a select amount of these items are available in Open Beta. Ranks and progression will reset after the beta. Stay tuned for the launch!
