First reported back in 2011, Savage Horizon (previously known as Darkness and Light) is the first true sandbox MMORPG in recent years to be announced from a China-based developer. Snail Game, currently well-known for Age of Wushu, it the studio behind this ambitious title.
The sandbox elements do not pale in comparison with ArcheAge’s, as noted in my previous post.
Snail Game will be hosting a media event next week, actually just 2 days from now, to reveal new products for 2013 and beyond. Touted as the “New Generation” product launch event, the Chinese media is in a frenzy guessing what titles will appear.
Other than Savage Horizon, in my opinion, there is no other title which will lift this event. Stay tuned to more news as the day creeps nearer!
