Neverwinter – China server is shutting down after less than 2 years

Launching on the PC systems back in September 2015, Perfect World China (Wanmei) recently announced the closure of Neverwinter. Developed by Cryptic Studios, a North American developer bought over by Perfect World, Neverwinter got off to a huge start in the early days. The final day is scheduled for 19 May 2017. The Chinese versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are unaffected.

The English global server of Neverwinter is unaffected as well, as The Cloaked Ascendancy update is launching for PC Windows on 21 February, following on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year. According to various online leaks, Perfect World Entertainment is currently working on a game based off the wildly popular Jurassic World, titled Jurassic World Survivor.
