Despite the impending launch of MapleStory 2, the original game is still getting regular updates as promised by developer Nexon. As the battle against the Black Mage intensifies, players must now take to the skies and battle against the secret weapon, Black Heaven!
Black Heaven is under the command of the division known as Black Wings, which players would have crossed swords with previously. With Chapter 1 launched a couple of weeks ago, Chapter 2 (Act 3) will introduce side-scrolling aerial combat for the very first time.
For now, there are 3 acts in the Black Heaven update, with Nexon promising the full content (and eventual fight against Black Heaven) will arrive before the year ends. Also arriving soon are the revamped Resistance classes, with the early artwork seen below (subject to change).
