Also hidden in the Business area, away from consumers’ eyes, is the Snail Game booth, where Black Gold Online is the main star.
Talking to Snail Game’s representative, I was informed that the game is using the same engine as Age of Wulin (or Wushu), but an upgraded one. No wonder the graphics look so stunning. It is something like Guild Wars 2′s graphics without that much artistic flair.
Despite the red, circular effect on targets, Black Gold Online really utilize a non-target action combat, in which players will have to aim manually. The circular effect only occurs on the main target the player is hitting.
And yes, attacks will damage nearby enemies as well. Active dodge is there as well.
Although the demo client certainly has its issues of bugs and glitches, the game is shaping up nicely for some steampunk and magic action, which is a totally different setting compared with Age of Wulin.
